the polymerase inhibitors show promise for being far superior to the

interferon med currently in use.

from what i've read awhile back theyre pretty much for sure the next

generation of tx, basically just bogged down in the dragged out process of

trials & approval.

as i recall the effectiveness on all genotypes is much better, tx durations

will be shorter, & nowhere near the sides & possible long term or permanent

damage to the body.

this is what i'm holding out for. trying alt med & clean living to hang in

there (at least...might even make big improvements if not clear) until these

new cures are available.

if i don't get off the cigars all the HCV concerns will soon be trivia

though.

When your struck with the "why did I opt for this surgery" doubts...remember quality of life, quality of life. Have a very successful surgery. Your in our thoughts and prayers. Don't worry about they kids, they are resilent, mine was six when I had revision and he took it well except for the lack of pig piles on Mom :)
