Guest guest
Shaye The syringe was the perfect tool to use to get the soap in the small hole. I've used it before when using different colors in some of the intricate molds. I might not get it perfectly where I want it but it's a whole lot better than using a 1/4 tsp. or something. My girlfriend is a surgical nurse in a hospital and " borrowed " a few different sizes for me. I keep one of them exclusively to put lotion in containers that don't have a large opening. The one I used for the eggs holds 3/4 oz but I was only filling it about half way at a time and alternating the colors each time I put soap in the egg. The soap really didn't have a chance to harden up inside the syringe. Just make sure the soap isn't too cool and thick when you start out. And since I couldn't spray alcohol in the tiny hole each time I changed colors I really wanted to make sure the soap was good and warm (probably between 120 & 130degrees). Play around with the ones you've got and see what you think. RE: I did it How hard was the syringe to use? Did the MP start to harden in it? I have some syringes but I never thought to use them for mp. Cool. I am working on some shamrock soaps this morning. Shaye
