I am so glad to hear that you gave up the alcohol..... Worse thing in

the world for us heppers.... I am also glad that your blood work is

improving.... I have to get mine done. I have been putting it off but

this week I am going. Keep up the good work girl... ;o

I too, first showed abnormal liver function in 1987.

Nobody seemed to concerned about it, I redid the test

with the same result, and I just figured it was

because I was drinking too much. I brought my medical

records with me from Colorado, and my counts (alt)

were like 78, 90, 115, 100, then I found out that I

had hcv and before I saw a specialist to discuss tx, I

started taking herbs, milk thistle, burdock root, etc.

and brought my alt within the normal range with herbs

Enough can't be said about abstaining from alcohol.

Good for you, doing it. Many of us are in recovery and

we know that it is not easy, especially in the

beginning. But we also know it CAN be done. Good luck,

we're all pulling for you. May God lead you to the

right decision about your tx. -dz-
