Guest guest
I do NOT believe that saliva is reliable for thyroid. In fact as you have just found, it is potentially dangerous to assume the result is reliable. I have recommended NOT using it for at least the last 5 years. Saliva hormones are very reliable for adrenal (in my opinion after doing hundreds of them). They work for est. and prog (mainly because of the cost of doing 11 samples over the month - I once asked the lab to total the cost of serum labs for all the samples -it was over $2600.00) ALL testing methods have pros and cons. You need to know what you are testing and the best medium to get the best results (blood, uring, saliva). Evaluate each test separately. Guest guest
Hi Folks, I'm relatively new to this site. Am enjoying the vast amount of information I've learned in a short period of time. Thank you all. I am becoming more proactive about my health which may be hard to do being that I'm a resident of NY State. I want to have a saliva test done but understand that it is illegal to obtain or mail a saliva test in NY State. Have any of you had any experience with this? If so, is there a way around this really stupid law?? Cheers, Rob
Guest guest
Your best bet is to get a Dr. to order it. Guest guest
Phil I did just that. An out of state doctor. The problem is according to NY State law it is illegal for me to take the test in this state. It is also illegal for me to mail the test in NY. Absolutely crazy. Guest guest
What I am saying is find a Dr. in NY state and do it this way or go out of state and do it by mail. Guest guest
You may have missed the information presented in our phone consulation . We have have several people that are in your same position. In order to get around this stupid as rule. One needs to write a little note stating. " In according to NY state law these samples were collected out side of the state of NY " dated and sign it and insert it in the paper work. Its that simple.. > > > From: Robin <rjamestemple@...> > > Subject: Saliva testing > > > > Date: Sunday, November 1, 2009, 1:52 PM > > Hi Folks, > > I'm relatively new to this site. If you are close to PA like 20-30 minutes drive then go do it. > > > > > From: Robin <rjamestemple@ ...> > > > Subject: Saliva testing > > > > > > Date: Sunday, November 1, 2009, 1:52 PM > > > Hi Folks, > > > I'm relatively new to this site. Guest guest
Please read the instructions to make sure it needs to be frozen. I use different labs so I get confused on what procedure is. > > > > > > > From: Robin <rjamestemple@ ...> > > > > Subject: Saliva testing > > > > > > > > Date: Sunday, November 1, 2009, 1:52 PM > > > > Hi Folks, > > > > I'm relatively new to this site.
