If you open amps the right way I feel you don't need filter needles but I never

used an amp with T in it. Shounds to me like a safer way to do this but you can

buy tools to open amps.

I have used multi-dose vials for ED for years. Sometimes it would take me

months to go through a vial. I never had a problem. I followed the following

pecautions:

I store the vial inside of a sealed pill bottle.

Wash my hands before handling the pill bottle or the vial.

Wipe any surface that I put the bottle or the vial down on, with alcohol.

Wipe the rubber top of the vial before inserting the syringe.

Wipe the rubber top of the vial before putting it away in its pill bottle.

Store the pill bottle in a clean place.

I've been doing this for more than ten years, with no problems.

Wow, that was very informative, thanks!

Do you transfer from ampoule to multi-dose vial as well?? You forgot to mention

that in your post.

I'd prefer to buy the vial directly, but I don't have that option.

My meds are compounded and come in the vial.

However, I am thinking of getting my testosterone in an ampoule which

contains a much larger dose than I would want. If I do that, then I will

simply transfer from the ampule to the vial with a needle and syringe.

One trick, for those who have not used a sealed vial is that you first pull

the plunger back in the syringe. Stick the needle through the rubber cap,

and then inject air into the vial. Then withdraw your medicine into the

syringe. This way, you create a slight positive pressure, and the solution

goes into the syringe more easily. If you don't inject air into the vial

with each dose, then you will create a partial vacuum over time, and the

solution will be harder to withdraw into your syringe.

That is a good process I don't go that far I wipe the vial before takeing the T

out and I wipe my leg before doing the shot. I keep my vials in small make up

case.
