Guest guest
Hi Tim, My ankles are usually very swollen, but noticed the last time I was in hosp., they used a compression machine on both legs, with it automatically alternating between On and Off. My ankles were not only down to normal, butI didn't have to take any Amitriptylene for neuropathy. I'm going to mention this to my doc, and see if he won't prescribe one for me. I just had a new AFO moulded, and my ankles were very swollen. When I went to buy sneakers for it, the man could hardly get any wide shoe on me. He ordered a pair of New Balance--we'll have to wait and see. Take care, Theresa

Guest guest
Actually, I find that the New Balance shoes (style 854) do improve balance. Thanks Becky, but the insole was taken out before I tried the shoe LOL P>S> I'm not a heavy person--normally wear a narrow, sometimes medium width). It was the swelling around the ankles/feet that is giving the problem. Theresa
Guest guest
Hello All, Rockport makes a lot of very comfy shoes. And they are pretty stylish too. I have orthotics and they fit pretty well. No experience with AFO's. I have a short wide foot for a guy my size, 6ft and 225lbs. I wear a 9 EEE. The Rockports have served me well. They make a great many womans styles too, although I can not vouch for the comfort, I look rotten in heels. www.rockport.com Regards, BC ----- Original Message ----- From: Benj.
