This is your Que " Over the Counter Sex Boosters! " to there getting you to buy

into this. As for a men that has done everything and been on TRT for over 28

yrs. If you can but something that says it will raise your T levels without a

script it is a waste of your money.

Just think about it a study comes out saying if you eat duck shi* it will in

prove your sex life. Next thing you know every health and Vit. supplement story

on or off the web is selling what the would call the best duck shi* out there.

Not long ago on Sixty Min.'s a TV show they checked a lot of Vit's, Herbs and

Supplements and found that there were trace amounts of what they were selling in

each pill. The rest was fillers and your being riped off.

Sure what they are saying might work but try to fine a good product for sale.

Thanks Phil, I may give this a shot at some point in the near future but

I wasn't going to user their products I was going to shop around,

probably buy the same thing at vitacost.com.

I can't remember the products in the past that I had tried in which I

had felt an effect, but I believe they were mixtures of a lot of these

herbs (not prohormone or other steroids, unless it was not listed in

ingredients) and I think if the cycling really does work it may be a

viable option versus Androgel or shots. Being a mixture it may not just

be the testosterone boost but maybe something else with it. When I took

those products I had more of the " alpha male " feeling then when I am

taking Androgel, it wasn't anything crazy but I felt a lot more

confident and had a lot more drive/aggression but not in a bad way, I

just felt better about myself and life, and had greater energy and drive

to try harder to reach goals. I felt what I thought would be " normal "

for a healthy man. Using Androgel I feel better but I don't seem to

have that same drive increase although I know my testosterone is

numerically much higher (possibly double, have not had it checked again

since dosage was upped), I am not as anxious/nervous as I was when I had

sub 300 testosterone I am just generally more calm overall, but

otherwise I feel practically the same with maybe a slight libido boost.

That is great in itself don't get me wrong, I just don't think

everything is normalized.

But like I was saying those products seemed to die off after a few days

to maybe a week at most, but maybe cycling through a range of them

weekly may have a different result?

I am still on Androgel atm and will be for the next few weeks at least

most likely as I am travelling out of country for work, but if I try

this out I will let the group know the results. BTW is there a

recommended plan for going off Androgel? I think if you completely stop

you crash, but is there a suggested time period/reduction rate? Maybe

same dosage every other day for a week, then 1/2 and do every other day

until your not using any?

I am very skeptical of herbal remedies.

I used Maca back in 2003/4. I tried to find the best product from a reputable

source and I took large quantities for many months. While it did increase

libido and energy a bit the results were anemic at best.

For the past six months I have been using Tonkat Ali 1:200 from Pasik Bumi. My

experience has been, much lower blood pressure, increased muscle mass with the

same exercise, some depression relief and increased libido. I cycle this

product weekly 5 days on and 2 days off. It's effect has never diminished on

this cycle. The muscle mass effect is real and is supported by the British

journal of sports medicine study and my own experience.

Before you get too excited about this I had my T levels tested after 6 months on

this product and they were barely above the so called normal range and I still

have most of the symptoms of low T.

Tonkgat Ali is the most effective herbal available for low T symptoms, as far as

I am concerned, but even it fails to raise T levels by very much if at all.

I think this is most likely the case for the other herbals.

I have found a doctor that does TRT and I will see him in a few weeks.

If this works out I will pack up my herbals for good.

Matt I am sorry to say this but I don't know of anyway to come off TRT with out

crashing. This is why I tell men find out why your low before you start TRT

once you start TRT it's for life your brain sees this added T in your blood and

slows down or even stops sending the LH and FSH messages to your testis and they

stop working and get small.

This is why we add HCG to the mix if your Secondary you can try just HCG 100

IU's per day see how you do on this it will get your Testis working HCG acts

like LH.

The only men I know of that could stop Steroids are bodybuilders but they did

not have low T to start with and as long as they did not do the Steroids to long

and stopped them and took Clomid or HCG to jump start them self's there body

would start back up they call this cycling. Testosterone is a steroid.

Dr. is the only Dr. I know that has help men start back up when there cycle

was over and what they tried did not work still most of the men that do steroids

end up on TRT.

Phil,

Are you saying that once I start TRT, I'll never be able to figure out what is

the cause of my hypogonadism even if I stop the TRT?

Phil the way I understand this works, and I may be wrong here, but I

believe that its a feedback system. If your testis are still working

and functional and your issue is secondary, how much testosterone they

produce is dependent on what the pituitary is telling them to produce

and for whatever reason its not telling them to produce enough. Since

the pituitary already thinks you have enough testosterone, when you take

in more testosterone through TRT it will further shut down your testis.

However, this is all on a feedback loop, if you remove the TRT your body

should then start producing testosterone again to make up for the

deficit but most likely it will only return you to pre-TRT levels and

not higher or within normal range. For example:

You have 250 total test starting value before TRT

You go to 600 total test initially on TRT.

Your body senses the higher testosterone and reduces the testis

output again, you drop to 450 total test but remain steady here while on

TRT.

You remove TRT, you initially may drop or crash below your starting

point and you will feel like crap

Your body increases the testis output to match your initial levels,

your back to 250 total test.

That is the way I understand it and the Androgel packet insert seems to

say the same, based on the 30 day test:

/ " When Androgel treatment is discontinued after achieving steady state,

serum testosterone levels remain in the normal range for 24 to 48hrs but

return to their pretreatment levels by the fifth day after the last

application. " /

My goal would be to avoid or minimize the crash and reduce the TRT over

time rather then just stop taking it all at once. From there I would

like to try the cycling of natural test boosters, actually maybe start

this when I begin to stop TRT so that if they are going to have any

effect maybe it will be in full swing by the time the TRT is out of my

system. The guy at that one website claims he went from 250 total

testosterone to 800 cycling natural test boosters, controlling estrogen,

losing weight, eating healthy, and working out regulary. It may sound

like a pipe dream but its something I want to see for myself. I had

~260 test before TRT and if I could just get to ~500 or so on natural

test boosters I would be happier with that rather then using direct TRT

and guessing what normal should be.

I am not saying that this will work, just that I think its worth a

shot. Now of course if your testis are not functional at all, or you

have been on TRT for many years, this may change the result but I think

the human body is remarkable in what it can do.

First try some HCG only stop the gel and go on HCG doing 100 IU's / day see if

your testis work if they do later try stopping the HCG.

Yes there are ways if you see a Dr. like Dr. but there are not many Dr.'s

out there as good as he is. He helped to find out I am not Primary but helping

me to get my Dr. to let me add HCG to my T shots. I did this for 15 shots at

500 IU's 3x's a week and my Total T level doubled. So my testis started making

T men that are Primary there testis would not do this.

When you add Testosterone to your blood your brain sees this and slows down

sending the LH and FSH messages to your testis and they stop making T and get

smaller. Mine were the size of small grapes until I added HCG to my TRT.

Men that do steroids cycle the steroid so to keep there body and testis working

they have a few tricks they do to get them going again. But if they do the

steroid to long this does not work and most of them end up on TRT anyway.

Yes you should talk to him about what your thinking of doing if he is good he

can try HCG or Clomid.

Thanks Phil.

I am seeing Dr. .  I had my first appt. with him a month ago.  I have a

follow-up due and I'll address this to him.

Yes there are ways if you see a Dr. like Dr. but there are not many Dr.'s

out there as good as he is. He helped to find out I am not Primary but helping

me to get my Dr. to let me add HCG to my T shots. I did this for 15 shots at 500

IU's 3x's a week and my Total T level doubled. So my testis started making T men

that are Primary there testis would not do this.
