Guest guest
It's really none of my business, and I know this isn't what you are asking about, but I thought I would chime in since I had something similar happen to me. Have you thought about getting your wife's hormones checked out? Also, what about a sex therapist to see if she has any hidden trauma or fears about sex? My wife was the same way until we got her hormones checked out and also talked to a psychologist. It turned out that low/no sex drive ran in her family as a result of hormone irregularities and she was also raised as an old school strict catholic when they taught that sex was very taboo. So, it was ingrained in her head that sex was a very bad thing to do. So, not sure if this applies to you or not, but this is what we experienced. Disclaimer - I have absolutely nothing against Catholicism, I'm just reporting what I was told. I apologize if any Catholics were offended by what I said. Guest guest
That my Friend is Nuts TRT is not about sex it's about your life and how good you want it. Going off TRT your chance of going back to your low old levels are very low. Your going to crash shorten your life and could end up very sick. I had to stop TRT 7 times long story. Each time I got so dam sick I could not make it to work each time Endo's did this to me it took longer to get my levels back up. How old are you and your wife as women age they say they don't like sex because for them with there hormones it if painful for them. And they don't want to admit this. I am 66 when I feel my best on TRT I could have sex every other day with my wife there is no way. Her hormones are bad and she is afraid to try HRT again because of the fear of Breast Cancer. So we have other ways to make love and then there are the times I just masturbate nothing wrong with this at all. Your gong to shorten your life going off TRT. You need Testosterone for strong bones and muscles and your heart is a muscle. http://men.webmd.com/news/20070605/low-testosterone-may-up-male-mortality?ecd=wn\ l_men_072407 Co-Moderator Phil > From: the69cat <no_reply > > Subject: Considering going off TRT and letting my self become a eunuch > > Date: Wednesday, September 1, 2010, 5:35 AM > My wife has no sex drive and even > when I am on lower levels of T I am far too horny for her. > She feels that we have nothing more to accomplish by > continuing having intercourse. Guest guest
Madison .com Sounds like your wife is very selfish. Thinks only of her and her needs. That is not a wife. Maybe a spouse, but more likely a parasite. You got married with certain expectations, a quid pro quo so to say. If divorce is not an option then there are women in the reverse situation you can contact. > > My wife has no sex drive and even when I am on lower levels of T I am far too horny for her. Guest guest
Phil is right. TRT is not about being able to perform. Its about health. Strong bone, good muscle mass, good BP, good glucose levels and most important, good cholestrol levels. All these are linked to TRT. So, its not advisable to go off of TRT. Also, my case is similar to that of Mike's case. My wife also had low sex drive some time ago and she was 32 yrs old at that time. And with my low T and being on TRT, I never had an issue coming to sex. The only way I found out that I have low T was when I was feeling ok even with out having sex for 3 to 4 days. Before that I almost wanted sex every day. So ......I realised something is wrong with me and got it checked out and it turned out to be low T. And coming to my wife, she too started showing signs of loss of interest and I wondered why and I took her to my harmone doc and he ran sometests and found out that she has low adrinals and also some Thyroid harmone conversion problem and so she started taking the meds and is feeling better and everything is going fine again. So what you have to focus on is your well being and not on sex or anything else. And your wellbeing depends on your harmones and in our case..........as we are all Hypogonad .... we have to depend on TRT. I too have been undergoing lot of health issues past couple of years and sometimes no one knows what it is exactly. But I think we should never give up. On the go we will hit the point where we will balance all the harmones. Guest guest
Well, I did that went off about 6 months, no drive at all, extremely tired had to take naps, my waist grew like 6 inches. I was very irritable, I could not even get an erection. As far a calm, thats not true for me, I was a dick. Sounds like fun doesn't it? I think that sounds like a fun time to me. > > > > > > > My wife has no sex drive and even when I am on lower levels of T I am far > > too horny for her. Guest guest
Yes it's not fun been down that road 7 times in the last 29 yrs I have been on TRT. I would be seeing a Dr. not doing well they would send me to an Endo thinking they are the best Dr.'s for this. They would take me off TRT for what they call a base line set of labs. I would crash all they ever found out was how dam sick they made me. Today I know there is no base line set of labs for men on TRT by taking then off TRT and Endo's are not good Dr.'s for low T. Each time they took me off they still got it wrong each one telling me I am Primary when I am not I am Secondary only took me 23 yrs to figure this out. I don't advise anyone on TRT to come off it.
