Guest guest
Hi group - I have upped my dosage of Arimidex to .5mg every day. I think it's making me a bit foggy headed or perhaps slightly light headed.. Is this possible? I know it stops my T from converting to E... but doesn't it do this over time? Would it have such a quick effect? So a question for the group. How long does it take Arimidex to reduce circulating Estrogen... In other words if we know that it stops converting T to E... then how long before my flushes out the existing amount of E? Do our E levels dissipate quickly once Arimidex is in the blood stream? Of note: I am dieting to drop some fat and have reduced my daily calories... so trying to figure out if it's the Arimidex or the calorie issue.. Thanks! Guest guest
That is a high dosage of arimidex. I have not heard of it making you dizzy but a low carb diet can when you convert over to ketonosis for about 24 hours. Are you getting night time erections? How high was your E2 before starting on arimidex? Â Arkansas From: heyfritzy <haverhillguy@...> Subject: Arimidex make anyone else " dizzy " / light headed? Guest guest
Hi - I am trying to work my way down from a estrodiol result of 80. I am getting nocternal/morning wood. I was getting them even with high levels of E but they got stronger as I took .25mg EOD (took for 6+ weeks) However with a followup exam my Estrodiol had only gone down to 61.7 so I am trying (per Phil) to crush my values until the wood goes away and then work my way into a sweet spot with the dosing of the Arimidex. Part of the issue is that I have found my T shots are likely at too high a dose and so I am reducing that at the same time... yes I know a lot of variables changing at once. My carb intake has been a bit low (not intentional) so perhaps I am teatering on Ketosis. > > > From: heyfritzy <haverhillguy@...> > Subject: Arimidex make anyone else " dizzy " / light headed? > > Date: Monday, March 8, 2010, 6:40 PM > > > Â > > > > Hi group - > > I have upped my dosage of Arimidex to .5mg every day. Guest guest
If you've moved from a normal diet to a low-carbohydrate diet, then dizziness is not uncommon. The first time I tried the Atkins induction phase (<20g carbs/day), I was not mentally sharp and felt pretty crappy for the first several days. On a normal diet, the body preferentially burns glucose for energy. In addition, when eating a normal diet, I always tended to store fat, not burn it. On the Atkins induction phase, I was starving my body since I was not giving it the glucose it expected. It takes several days for the body to start depending upon fat and protein as the primary fuel source. ________________________________ From: heyfritzy <haverhillguy@...> Sent: Mon, March 8, 2010 10:48:47 PM Subject: Re: Arimidex make anyone else " dizzy " / light headed?  Hi - I am trying to work my way down from a estrodiol result of 80. Guest guest
I never had this problem on Arimidex and if your very high in your levels maybe you should do less .5 mgs every other day. I did .5 mgs every day after trying every other day for 8 weeks but my labs were over the top of the range and after 8 weeks it did not come down into the range. Going on .5 mgs every day in 2 weeks my levels were down. Arimidex blocks Estradiol from being made so whats left in your body is what takes time to go down. I do know you can dump some water your holding from the High Estradiol try drinking more water so your not dehydrated. After your on Arimidex Dr. says it's stable in your body and works very fast. I can feel to high and I am prone to Panic Attacks high Estrada will set me off and I can take .5 mgs extra up to 1 mg. and in an hour or 2 stop a Panic Attack. Guest guest
I am just reducing calories.... not carbs... well not intentionally.. But I'll keep an eye on my carb intake and see what's up. My wife also reminded me it could be the weekly (sunday) dose of chloroquine I take (malaria prophalactic)... > > > > > > From: heyfritzy <haverhillguy@ ...> > > Subject: Arimidex make anyone else " dizzy " / light headed? > > > > Date: Monday, March 8, 2010, 6:40 PM > > > > > >  > > > > > > > > Hi group - > > > > I have upped my dosage of Arimidex to .5mg every day.
