Guest guest
Well now I feel better knowing I am not the only one to remember if we met before or not. hehehehe It is nice to meet you and I have been on tx for 1 & 1/2 months this time. It is hard on me but we all have a hard time of it. Some handle it better than others. Please feel free to contact us again. Nice to see ya. Guest guest
I had the same problem, there was another Dave on the board, so I assumed -dz-. He seemed to have dropped off. He was having more problems than a lot of us. I hope he's doing ok, has anybody heard from him? I think he was dave r. -dz- --- <rvf263@...> wrote: > lol...I am RVF.....i was thinking I was going > crazy......My name is > ,but I think ther is two on here, and > I see messages > that dont look like replies or familiar written to > ....I think > it may be to the other .....lol.....I don't > know....lol...so I > thought I would sign RVF which is my > initials....sorry for confusing > you but I'm confused too....lol.... > > > > Okay who is RVF. Guest guest
Could you be a little more specific, there may be two roberts here, but we are all called " You " -dz- --- Jannewilms42@... wrote: > You seem as though you have a wonderful sense of > humor. Guest guest
Funny thing about that , is the symptoms of the tx are much the same as those from the disease, so feel free to use any of the offered excuses we use. -dz- --- <rvf263@...> wrote: > i'M NOT SURE IF WE SPOKE BEFORE OR NOT...AND I'M NOT > ON TX, SO WHAT'S > MY EXCUSE????......HEHEHE...GLAD TO MEET YOU > TOO....THANKS.... > RVF __________________________________________________

Guest guest
I use the excuse "Remember I'm on TX!!" It works for me. hahaha. Maybe it just makes me feel better thinking that I'm not getting older and more forgetful!!! When I ache, it's not aging it's the TX. When I'm tired, it's not being lazy it's the Hep C. Does anyone else use any of these or am I alone??? hahaha
Guest guest
Speaking for myself, who is not on treatment, I am always tired, but blame it on being overweight. I am on the Slim-Fast Diet and have lost a few pounds but have many more to go before I will reach my destinnation/goal. I was anemic over a year ago and my heptologist, at the time, prescribed me 324mg Ferrous Gluconate x3 and told me that it was ok for me to take the iron as hardly any of it will make it to the liver. How can I argue with my heptologist? I quit taking them on my own to see if it is still necessary to take them, and will find out what I can when I go to the Hep Clinic at the VA hospital on the 24th of this month. I am hoping to get shots for Hep A & B as well as have a liver biopsy done. I am ready to get the ball rolling. If I should be on treatment than let the treatments begin . . . if not, that is ok too. I don't really look forward to the treatments (PEG combo is what I've heard the VA hospital does in Indianapolis). I shall do what the doctor(s) suggests I do. I have such a fear of the treatment itself, or maybe not so much the treatments but the side effects that go with it. Enough about me . . . I love reading all of yalls success stories . . . the trials and tribulations as you go through treatment. Each of you holds a special place in my prayes each night. I wish the best for everyone and want you all to know that I am here, if you need me . . . and hopefully yall will be here when I start treatment, as I'm going to need all of yalls positive energy to see me through this. Always, SJ
Guest guest
I feel the same way. I hate it when the hubby says after I complain of being tired or very achy... Well Honey you know that is the medicine.. Well YES I know it's the TX but can't he try to make it feel better instead of reminding me why I feel like crap??? Or am I asking too much??? Guest guest
To tell you the truth, sometimes I'm not sure whether I am using it as an excuse not to go somewhere I don't feel like going to, or if it is real. Am I being lazy or am I really that wiped out from the tx. The tx is so pervasive in your life that it seems life revolves around it, at least for this time period. I didn't feel good or energetic or happy ALL the time before I was on the tx, so how can I now tell, is this attributed to the tx, or just the normal cycle of feelings. -dz- --- Jannewilms42@... wrote: > I use the excuse " Remember I'm on TX!! Guest guest
I was just e-mailed a weight loss ad and I had to laugh. We on tx have the best weight loss program there is. Neausea in the morning and neausea in the evening!~!! hahaha. Who would want better huh???
Guest guest
Hi SJ I haven't had too much of a problem with the side effects on this round of treatment. It is my understanding that the sides for the PEG combo are similar to the Ribavirin interferon combo. When you get started try to maintain a positive attitude. I have found that this helps me with the sides as much as or more than any meds that the Dr. can prescribe. Oh yeah don't worry about your weight. The treatment is about the most perfect weight loss program available. I've lost about 40 pounds since I started. Better go for now. I got to fire up the pit. Guest guest
LOL Jane, I'll laugh with you . . . no sense in crying about it, the way I see it. I've lost 17 pounds, so far, and I am really, really trying to . . . I guess I was inquiring as to how much weight you lost as I was wondering how much I should loose before treatment . . . since I have a long haul to go, I should be ok with another 40 lbs lost from Slim Fast. Always, SJ
Guest guest
SJ this is a quick diet. Fast esults. I think anyone else here would agree with me. i wish I wouldn't lose too much more cause I am 5'9 and slim built. I might afford to lose about 5-10 lbs. but I doubt it. The hubby is really noticing the loss now. He didn't a couple of weeks ago but is now. It don't help that whatever I eat or drink for the past week goes right through me. Just another of the wonderful sides. It'll get better soon I hope. Get in touch. SJ it is always nice to see you.
Guest guest
As a rule, I think we generally know the source of our pain, be it flu, a sprained ankle, a broken leg, or whatever, that doesn't lessen the pain one whit in my experience. A little TLC goes a long way, though... -dz- --- Jannewilms42@... wrote: > I feel the same way. I hate it when the hubby says > after I complain of being > tired or very achy...
