Taking my 4 children ( 1 autistic ) and my lead therapist. I am fully funding the trip. I think most of these therapists ( most of the time college students ) could not afford to go otherwise. Being a single parent I could NEVER do it without her help.
Guest guest
, well Hawaii is great - beaches, pools, scenery, flat, hotels are accessible, plenty to do, etc. Of course Calif. has all that too, plus Disney, Universal, etc. Of course so does Florida. I went to a Dude Ranch once, Crossed Sabres Ranch in Wapiti Wyoming. A family place, plenty of fun and side trips and horses! I also did a Teton Wilderness Horseback/Covered Wagon trip through the Tetons....so beautiful! WE all took turns in the wagon or on horseback. Family fun too. I am wondering if a cruise might accommodate your whole family best? The only place I had a hard time with walking were on some cobblestone streets in Lucerne/and other places in Europe. Not real problems, just slowed my shopping down! I would recommend Mexico, the pyramids, Yucatan, maybe, but alot of walking, bad bad tequila, and I got sick as a dog anyway! If you DO go out of the country, make sure you get shots, up to date, Hep A and B, tetnaus. Something else that excapes me right now. Airlines are always ready to accommodate special needs, get reservations in early, to get the best seats. Ask for 'exit row' seating. Can you tell I am a closet travel agent? I myself am taking off for the Cook Islands after Easter! Airlines/hotels have wheelchairs if you need them. Just ask. Or you can even rent a collapsable WH from http://www.magellans.com Or you could come to The Alisal Guest/Dude Ranch nearby me in Solvang, then I could meet you! Horses! Beautiful scenery, beach is 20 miles away, shopping, good restaurants...etc. ~ Gretchen
