Deciding against LDN

Too bad you are allowing a small minority of negative experience's influence

your decision to not use LDN, especially without even trying it once for

yourself to see how you react. It is your loss. Many of these negative reactions

are non-typical and usually there's an underlying problem the user fails to

address such as diet, yeast overload, overly sensitive to medication, not using

a reliable LDN compounding pharmacy, too high expectations for LDN's

performance, misdiagnosed, not following Dr. Bihari's correct protocol of

evening dosing, etc, etc, etc...

The sleep disturbance problem occurs in only 2% of LDN users and is usually very

minor and short-lasting. Dr. Glucks LDN website verifies this. The vivid

dreaming side-effect is almost always a welcome and pleasant one. I have been a

member here for over four years and it is extremely rare, if at all, that

someone discontinues LDN because of this. The only drugs/medications

incompatible with LDN are those containing narcotics. There are substitutes you

can use for pain.

You should stay and ask more questions of those who know what they're talking

about, not of the misinformed, the inexperienced and the agent provocateur's

that populate these groups.

This will no doubt earn me some enemies, but that's just the way it is

sometimes. Thanks but no thanks to the LDN. I will be returning mine.

When I first started reading the information about LDN at the ldn.org website, I

was convinced that it would work for me and was hyped to get started. I read

there for days and days and was sure it would help me.

BUT -- after reading here for only 10 days, I've decided against the use of LDN.

It's not worth it, IMPO.

The first info I read said it was safe (i.e., no side effects) - then I read

here about the BAD insomnia and vivid dreams. It was also not suppose to

interact with anything else one was taking - then I read here that you can't

take this drug or this supplement or you have to be very careful with this or

that....

Then I read that people are having more and worse symptoms than before. I mean

hey, heart palpitations and terrible joint pain and stiffness and nausea? Well,

WTH? None of that is mentioned in the original information I read about LDN.

No. I mean, thanks but no thanks.

I would have been better off without these " support " groups. If I didn't have

all this negative stuff implanted in my head now, LDN probably would have worked

fine and I wouldn't have had any problems at all. But there is something to the

power of suggestion.

Just sayin' it the way I see it.
