To start receiving mail in digest format, you must send an e-mail to

-digestonelist

Type the address exactly as above and do not type anything in the text

box.

Thank you,

Well apparently the list owner has the list set up for replies to go to the

individual, which is sad as others will miss out on the info unless I CC to

the list. You send a blank email addressed to: -digestonelist

Betty/Sandy,

Just log into Onelist, and you'll see a list of all of the lists that you

are on. On the far right side, there will be a drop down menu that lets

you change your options from mail to no mail to digest. Just change it to

however you'd like to receive this list.

Hi ,

Welcome to the group, posts of late have been large in volume. This is

not always the norm, but due to doctor harassment of LD practitioners, there

is lots of activity here on the list. Single mail is just that, you get

each post in your mailbox as it is posted to your server. Digest usually is

sent 2 to 3 times daily when high volume, it includes about 25 messages in

one email to your mail box. You scroll down to read the posts, in the

beginning of each digest email, it lists the headers and who the mail was

sent by. If this is still too much for you, you can go No mail, this allows

you to read postings in the digest form in the archives at your leisure, but

you are still a member of the list. I hope this helps,.

Hi,

This also happened to me and I haven't heard from onelist since writing

about it. What mail program do you have? I have reinstalled Eudora after

pc crash and just found out it has Y2K problems - one of which is putting

wrong dates on mail. I am wondering if digest problem is another part of

it. FOr the time being, I am back on individual e-mails, even tho it is a

lot of mail. Have any others experienced this problem with last digest?

One I had trouble with had 25, and I received 4 - this one was mentioned

previously by me and others. Think there are bugs other than those in our

bodies!

Hi O's,

Thanks for all the suggestions on calcium and milk substitutions. I

really think I've finally found the best diet for me, after years of trying

mostly vegetarian or semi/vegetarian diets. Every day I feel better. If

only I had found this in my twenties!

I was wondering if anyone has tried any of the North American Pharmacal

supplements. ARA 6? That one sounds good for the immune system. And I'm

not sure if Bladderwrack would do me any good, since I don't have a thyroid.

In my twenties, I had hypothyroid, and then when I was 32, I had Grave's

disease (hyperthyroid). I'm on total T4 rplacement. Went into early menopause

after that. Sherry, wanted to tell you I'm on natural hormone replacement.

Have you ever heard of Dr. ? He is a pioneer in this area,

wrote a book called " Natural Hormone Replacement " , you can get it through

your library. I have read a lot about wild yam creams, and they don't do too

much for you. Women need the progesterone USP. Have you ever read Dr.

Lee's book? It is all about natural progesterone. Since I have been on

natural HRT (which I get prescribed from a compounding pharmacy), I feel

hormonally like a twenty year old, but no periods or PMS!! Also, my skin is

much better.

I am wondering too about where you get Pharma Mag. And what elemental

means. I found a calcium recently I like that is called CalMax. They

advertise it on TV, but you can get it over the web for half the cost. Also,

someone mentioned getting your vitamin D from the sun, but I live in northern

Ohio, and that's impossible most of the year. (Hope to be moving to Florida

in the next two years!)

I am bleading every 2 weeks, did you get that. I cannot use the yam cream

while that is going on so I am not sure of what to do. I have never heard of

natural hormone replacement. I will have to look into it. Is that what T4

is. Pharma Mag I get from a health food store but behind the counter as it

is a naturopathic brand. There are naturopathics who run the shop. If you

know of a friend who is in the field. My friend is a herbalist and I also

get them from her as well. I live in Sydney, Australia so I am not sure if

it is an australian brand. Actually it is an australian one. The ingredients

are

magnesium orotate 400mg

magnesium aspartate 250mg

potassium aspartate 250mg

calcium orotate 100mg

Thanks for the advice and I will have a look at those books. I have read one

called " Passage to Power " by Kenton but she doesn't say anything

about what you have said. Sherry

Sherry McCartney,

I know that micronized natural progesterone (derived from soybeans) is

available from ob-gyns in the USA. I had a problem recently where I bled for

a month, and my ob-gyn informed me of this option. However, I got the

bleeding to stop and did not pursue it. I use wild yam and chaste berry

capsules regularly and tinctures of the same on occasion, along with Yarrow

tincture to keep my situation under control. I hope you find something that

works. Surely there might be homeopathic remedies that can help.

Menstruating every two weeks is no fun. It could be a sign that you're not

ovulating.

So you CAN teach an old dog new tricks! I have our

group mail delivered to my email account, so I usually

don't visit the site. Once I got there

it was pretty self explanatory.

Hi Frederick (my second christian name)

I was intrigued with your previous message and wondered if we had

met while I was in East Africa. You claim that we didn't meet so

that answers my question. Your surname is like the name of a town

in Kenya I seem to remember.

I also lived from aged 15 to aged 44 with a disability which was

of a respiratory kind and I managed with the help of a selected

few experts to live at the well end of the chronic illness

spectrum rather than the sick end all my life. I assisted in the

formation of the Chronic Illness Alliance (C.I.A.) under the

umbrella of the University's Health Issues Centre and in

the eighties,HIV AIDS,which we all took to be a terminal

illness, applied for and was granted membership. Of course we

managed to learn a lot about this and many other chronic illnesses

and forms of disability which I prefer to call differently abled

rather than disabled.

I am very keen to maintain contact with you and to find a way for

us to meet when I return to East Africa whenever that happens.

Please be assured that I am as keen as you are for every

marginalised minority group in the developing world to have a

place at the table and be involved in decisions that affect their

lives.

Tell me about your form of difference in ability some time as I

would be keen to know and even keener to help you stay in touch

with the world wide support groups with similar afflictions.

With love and support from Geoffrey.

HOLY! The digests are so neat looking now. I was wondering what the blank

digest was about yesterday and now I think it was a test from or

something. p imay be coming around to be in the here and now with the

new look.... So far so good in my book! This is so much more pleasing to the

eye than the old digests. It gives you a bit of group info and important

I like that you can just go directly to a particular message instead of

having to scroll thru a bunch and they have the threads all sorted. Takes a

little getting use to but its alright with me.

What I really like about the new digest is they have made it a ton harder

for people to hit that reply button and send the whole digest back to the

lists. What a pain that is on some of the lists I'm on. Mostly on nonsoaping

lists, but there are people out there that just don't get it and list owners

that just don't care about how the digest looks... There is nothing worse

than getting a digest that contains 2 or 3 full digests in replys! LOL

*scream* LOL I may become more active in some of my groups again(LIKE THIS

ONE) because replying to a single message is now so easy... Just a click of

the mouse and I have a blank email ready to go without having to hunt down

the message in the digest, copy and paste it and have it look decent... What

a dream this is. does all the work now to keep a topic in line and

easy to follow.

Maybe because I've seen the build up of the groups over the years... Lets

see... I joined OneList back in '96 when you could have a 4 letter password.

Try and get that now! Hehe I still have that same 4 letter password. When

took over there were a few little changes, but nothing as major or as

impressive as this. *eeek I just realized I've been on these lists for 10

years now!!* Maybe it's just me, but now each group feels like the digest is

from that group and not . Yes is in there, but there is a link to

the group right there at the top of the digest... it feels like the digest

is from the group more than from now. It grabs your interest in the

group right away.

JMHO :)
