Guest guest
Hi Machelle Ken & I tend to be 'loners' too. as we were put thru 'social death' when I was being honest about having Hepc.... turns out most people don't want to know about & tend to think we're 'highly contagious' so I don't mention it too often escept as a precaution to medical people.. some of whom don't wear eye protection when drawing blood from... these MD & nurses & technicians can sometimes choose to think they can't get this virus evidently?! Also I want them to use protection for me sake also! arlene Machelle wrote: > I must admit something...I am on several other lists (non Hep related) and > this list is the only one that I actively participate in because usually I > am a very shy person and tend to stick to being by myself most of the time. > I feel like I have made some good friends here. Guest guest
That's one of the things I like about this group. I do have a very loving & supportive wife who is always there for me. Guest guest
Your right there Jan, Susy has medical problems. I try to understand & can see what she's going through but I don't really understand. She has her on line supports with others going through what she is. For a matter of fact she talked me into joining this group. Guest guest
One of the more difficult things is that we normally do not " appear " to be ill. So people think we are not. I know many people thought I was being unsociable because I did not participate in any outside activities. I quit my guitar lessons, quit going to NA/AA meetings, quit going to my home fellowship group, etc. People just don't understand if you are not physically ill or pale or coughing and wheezing, how hard it is to get yourself going. -dz- --- Jannewilms42@... wrote: > Yes at times you do because without her having it > too she doesn't fully > understand what we go through physically or > mentally..I know I tend to keep > alot in with my spouse but I already told ya about > him..I have had people say > " I know what you're going through " ..I just look and > ask them if they got it > and when they say no then I say well then you > don't..Only someone with this > Dragon really knows just like a person with > something else. > __________________________________________________
Guest guest
That's the list. It seemed like it was going to be a good list, but then the list owner had to show his ass about everything. I don't need that. So I guess you could say I showed my ass right back to him...lol Re: [ ] Being shy Machelle as time goes by you'll see we do talk about alot of things..Some are verypersona so please don't be offended but we feel better when we vent our anger or hurt..Helps releive stress..See everyone here knows my present hubby is an alcoholic and an ass and I'm not ashamed to say it either..We are always fighting and he knows now I'm tired of his BS too..See now that's personal..Hell I think I even have talked about that time of the month in here and if I haven't yet I want everyone to know I have a horrible case of PMS today!!! Guest guest
The only people I have told about having Hep C & my treatment are a few close friends, my bosses at work so if I wasn't feeling up to par & wasn't performing as I should they would know why. Of course it got around in my Deptment " but it hasn't out side my department. There was a few quistions. But everyone treats me the same as before. There as been a few days that I wasn't feeling up to par that my Boss saw & knew that I wasn't feeling well & let me leave early. He likes the fact that I come in when I not feeling well. Guest guest
I was treated well at work also. I told my manager and my supervisor. I took 5 weeks family medical leave when I started tx, so I imagine the rest of the department must have wondered what was wrong, but nobody has questioned me. -dz- --- Terry Long <pawpawto3@...> wrote: > The only people I have told about having Hep C & > my > treatment are a few close friends, my bosses at work > so if I wasn't feeling up to par & wasn't performing > as I should they would know why.
