I've noticed I'm exhausted to Beth

--~~Shelvira~~Shelvira2002@...My Outgoing mail was Scanned with Norton's Antivirus 2002

Day 3

Only the third day I've taken Lexapro. Curious to see what will happen during the switch, but no changes for the better I can put my finger on. I'm completely exhausted today, not sure if I can attribute this to a med. Seems like I got enough sleep this weekend.Recently I ran out of Celexa and it took a fews days before getting to the pharmacy to pick up new prescription. The fourth day without Celexa was a doosie. Total mind funk, hope that doesn't happen. Not sure who mentioned the cost of Paxil, but from what I've read Lexapro compared to Celexa is a cheaper drug. With luck the same will be when compared to Paxil.Beth

Day 4 for me and I have noticed a huge increase in dreaming too. I

never felt I dreamed much, but the past few nights I think I dream

all night. Nothing bad, just sometimes weirdly scrambled ones and

about people and things I haven't thought of in years. I guess it's

all still in there getting jumbled around!!!!!

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Im on day 12?ish and am doing great. No xanax in 2 days! No PA's.

Hang in there I hope it does the trick for you. Oh I'm on 5-7 mg.

Thats a half a ten and a half a half. So I call it 7. -Steve :-)

-Hi, I think all a/d's only do only so much for anxiety or panic. If

you want good coverage, you have to rely on xanax, or others. Its

the only way.

I have suffered with anxiety for years, and now have taken an a/d,

and xanax for a year and a half, and my pdoc says its going to take a

very long time of living " corrected " until there is improvement to

the point where I won't need the xanax anymore. So be it.

ly, i would find another doctor. I was on Xanax (only) for almost 5 years,

prescribed by a regular doc. It worked for a long while but never really

stopped the panic attacks or GAD. I was up to 3 mg/day at one point!

After 6 months on Celexa, out of the blue, i was able to cut the xanax down

drastically, then all together - though i take a tiny bit now " as needed " as i'm

switching from C to Lexapro. Xanax and the other Benzos are highly

addictive. And the benefits wear out after a while, then you keep needing a

high dose...

All i'm saying is that if you have a p-doc teling you you have to be on xanax

for

" a very long time " , i'd get a 2nd opinion - almost ALL p-docs want patients

OFF the benzo drugs ASAP. - Which Lexapro should allow you to do within a

few months. Do not depend on the xanax as a cushion for any longer than

needed.

-Hi, thanks for the advice. He says that I can take xanax as long as

I need it. I have been on the same dose now for a year and a half.

Not increasing it. Yes, I hope the lexapro, at this dose will help

me to cut the xanax down.

I do find at times , I can skip a pill, or take a half of xanax.

But, its never in the morning, LOL !!!

Good Morning, Jessie,

Welcome to Day Three. I'm a couple of days ahead of you, and I feel really

good today. One funny thing I've noticed is that I wake up each night

around 2:00. I go back to sleep after about 15 minutes, and I sleep like a

baby until 7:30 or so. This will probably pass with time.

Enjoy your weekend, Jessie. Keep us informed as to how the 10mg pill works

out.

Take care!

Great news!

Well, Day 3 with the Lex and despite the general (and my) belief

that I was cutting the PAxil too fast, I Am on Lex now 3 days and

have nary a side effect. I hope this keeps up. I might go up from

10 to 20 mg of Lex sooner than the doc said too because of the

smoothe transition so far.

As a former Paxil user...I had horrible withdrawel from Paxil. BUT

those withdrwels didn't staart until 4-5 dys off Paxil.

But I was on Paxil for almost 3 yrs. Hopefully you'll keep going

with no adverse effects.

Good Luck to you!

Hi Debbie,TOTALLY AWESOME!!! I had a hard time with the gorge days. I wan't able to eat that much without feeling completely sick. Those were after the gorge. Today my tummy is a bit grumblie, but ohhhh my is it worth it. The Yerba Mate teas seems to do the trick along with good old green tea, I just haven't had time to made my tea. This group has really been a God send......thank you everyone.JeanneDebbie Piazza <weluv2sail@...> wrote: Way to go, Jeanne!!! Now ... is that 3 full "effective" days (days following the gorge days)? Hey Jeanne... I like the Yerba Mate tea the best. Gives me a boost of energy in the afternoon and I don't mind the taste at all ... 'specially with a tab of Stevia in it! LOL!! You should think of that "rumble" in your stomach as your fat disintegrating and yes, I agree, it is sooooo worth it!!! I don't know about you and I know it's only my 4 day of injections, but I actually feel different. I definitely have more energy, I'm more alert, and I feel lighter!!! Funny as that may sound, it's true! Keep up the good work and keep us posted! And I also agree with you about this forum ... it's wonderful and many thanks to all involved!! You're all a tremendous asset and quite an inspiration. Debbie Jeanne Gardner

Good morning to you all,

Upped my dose to 3 mg last night. For sleep I've been taking melatonin 100mg

every night. I sleep like a log. The pain I had before LDN is still almost gone.

I have had a " feeling " like something is going on...my legs and hips.....not

really discomfort...I assume it's the LDN working. Still stiff, but what do I

expect...I was pretty far along, using a cane or walker. Unable to stand for

more than 20mins. Bladder problems are getting much better. I am emptying

completely. I don't have to " go " again 10mins after I've gone. The only

" problem " I have encountered is that I have been SLIGHTLY nauseous in the

morning. Easily remedied by a bite of toast. I am going to stay with the 3 mg

dose for a few weeks and give my body a chance to do what it's been doing.

HEALING I HOPE!!!

Will keep you informed!!

Is that a typo? When I first read that post from , I thought it said 100 ml

and I was wondering if it was liquid or what...

I have used melatonin for a couple of nights, several years ago. I am always

verrrrry careful with that stuff because it is a hormone and is powerful. The

tablets I bought were 5 mg and I broke the tablet into teeny tiny hunks and used

it sublingually. After two nights of even the small dosage, I had to lay off

because during the daytime I was like a zombie. The lady at the HFS where I

bought it said that means it's working. Well hey, I can't spend my days being a

zombie, so I haven't used it now for some time. I also don't sleep worth two

tweets most of the time, though. I'm hoping that once I start the LDN, and IF I

feel better, and IF I don't have problems with the LDN, then maybe my sleep will

return to normal patterns.

I had exactly the same thoughts, just blaming my " middle age " . Sleeping through

the whole night is just great.

What is described below is the reason I use 5htp instead of melatonin. 5htp helps make melatonin at night, and then when you get exposed to sunlight, it helps make serotonin.-- Warmest Regards,Robin Little

Me too. Before I had joint pain I was losing muscle strength. Before starting ldn I had 3 short bursts of prednisone and during the 3rd I suddenly felt my normal strength. On ldn that crushing fatigue has gone and I feel that the strength can slowly return. Hope so anyway. Personally, I cannot use 5HPT. It made me have terrible heart palpitations. It

doesn't mix well with my one and only med - a beta blocker for my prolapsed

mitral valve. I take a very small amount of beta blocker (I took myself from

100mg/day to 12.5mg/day about three years ago.

But that's just me...it might work fine for others. I have some stuff called

Relax Tea that works wonders, if I remember to drink it before bed. Sometimes

I'm too tired to think about it until it's too late, or sometimes I just don't

feel like tea. The water has to be boiled (not just microwaved) and you know

how it goes waiting for water to boil... ;->

Steak for breakfast with some walnuts and fruit.

Snack - plum and walnuts

Lunch was romaine and arugula salad, with broccoli, mini peppers and red

onion. The dressing was balsamic vinegar (an avoid I know) with olive oil

and garlic. I also had a cup of fruit salad and more steak.

Dinner - sliced tomato, hey what do you know - more steak - this time with

homemade pesto, a few dates, a pluot and a baked sweet potato (yes, I had

butter).

For some reason I am still hungry!

I found these really neat Almonds yesterday. They are made by Emerald.

They have a dark chocolate coating and you can buy them in 100 calorie

packets. I love the chocolate taste. It isn't a lot, just a little coating

on the outside, but yummy. The packaging makes it really great for taking

in your purse. This morning I had oatmeal, with yogurt and peaches. 15

grams of protien.

Have you tried cutting your steak in really small pieces. I mean very small

and chewing it up to nothing? I know it isn't quite the same, but you would

get the taste.

*I find beef easier to swallow and chew if it is rare to raw.*

*

*

*Sometimes I slice the beef really thin and marinate it in a mixture of

balsamic vinegar, Bragg's amino acids, red wine vinegar, and a variety of

herbs and spices. (ginger and garlic, or garlic and basil, etc.) I choose

a fairly fat free (no marbling) cut - round roast or London Broil. Choose

the flavors you like best and mix together.
