Androgel, Levothyroxine

Hi I am new but have been hypogonad for a very long time....My symptoms recently

are low energy, concentration, very low sex drive and less

erections. I have just gone through a divorce was out of work for 7

months that had me pretty stressed out and depressed as well.

..I have just started taking Androgel for a few days 4 pumps a day. 5 gms. I

also take Levothyroxine in morning as well. My question is what can I really

expect from the Androgel. My T levels tested out three weeks ago at 116. When

I used daily HCG I got my Test up to 980 to 1080. I felt GREAT on it. But my

insurance quit covering the HCG so I had to go back to test. Any advice for

someone who wants his sex life back, energy and the strength and muscle I

lost..Help

Hi Clint and Welcome,

You can buy HCG from the web at the ADC get the brands that have a vial so you

can mix it and keep it in the fridge for 30 days. The brands men use are

Corion, Ovidac and the Pre-Mixed Hucog. If you buy this from then you will need

to get some bacteriostatic water to mix it so it will keep in the fridge. The

Sterile water that comes with it is for mixing and using the same day.

Most men on gels to a 250 IU's shot every 3 days so getting a 2000 IU vial of

HCG it's cost is very low.

Now for the Androgel your on do get tested in 2 weeks so your sure the dose is

enough and working. Some men don't do well on this low starting dose and others

if you have a Thyroid Problem the gel will not get through your skin. People

with a Thyroid Problem some have a thinker skin and gels can get through.

As for your sex life do test your Estradiol E2 levels if to high it will kill

your libido and give you ED problems. If you don't get night time and morning

wood from Rem Sleep I am betting your levels are to high. You can get a

supplement called Indolplex/DIM or get a script for Arimidex to get this down.

You know when your at your best levels because your get your night time and

morning wood back. So test this best test is at Quest labs a Sensitive test for

men #4021 the range is 13 to 54 pg/ml a good level for most men is 20.

1/3 of your labs range and to keep your E2 levels down to about 20 pg/ml.

So when you do this then your body will start to undo the problems you have from

low T and little by little you get better it's not over night.

Seeing that doing HCG got your levels up so high did you have your Pituitary

checked out for a tumor you sound like your Secondary meaning your Pituitary is

not telling your Testis to make T by not sending enough LH and FSH the messages

that tell the testis to make T. This can be due to a tumor or a head injury.

Wow, Thanks for the excellent advice and references. I am going to order the

HCG today those prices on ADC are the best. As I had mentioned my MD had me on

daily HCG and my Test levels were at the highest of the range. I also lost

weight, fat and got very 25y/o lean...I appreciate the heads up on my E2, or

Pituitary function. I have had suspicions about bad Pituitary function as I had

a major head injury when I was younger. I am starting tomorrow with the DIM now

and also to see if combined with the HCG make the libido and wood comes

back....I have lost muscle strength as well. I will let you guys know my

results.
