Guest guest
Testosterone Cyp 125mg/wk split into every other day injections....injected into the quads with 1/2 " insulin needle Arimidex 1mg/wk split into .25mg Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun. Waiting to start HCG and will do 250iu SC EOD [every other day]with Test shots. Comments? * should I add DHEA to the mix?
Guest guest
The needle is possibly to short. Both Dr. Crisler and the pharmaicist where I get my T-Cyp said I need to use a 1 " needle so as to get the T deeper into the muscle, and I'm a lean man so it's not a " getting through a bunch of fat " issue. At one point in time I used a 1/2 " needle. There was a difference. It seemed as if the T hit me stronger if you will. Might be because at 1/2 " it's much closer to the small blood vessles near the skin surface so it gets into the blood stream faster and maybe stronger (more of it it a shorter period of time). It also didn't seem to last as long. I use a 22 ga. needle to draw out the T-Cyp from the vial and a 25ga. 1 " needle to inject. It works fine - very little, if any, pain. FYI. Guest guest
One other thought; when I originally started injection therapy I was on a once a week regiment. Now I inject twice a week. The issues such as too high of E2 seem fine now on 2x a week. If you are using T-Pro like Phil (the co-moderator) does, I think every other day is what you do. However, T-Cyp is longer lasting, so twice a week is enough. Dr.Crisler, the doc who many agree is one of the best in the country on this, is the man who told me to inject twoice a week (maybe knowing that he is the one who told me makes you feel comfortable that 2x a week is correct). I inject 50mg on Saturday and then on Tuesday (both in the AM). Ain't no reason to poke yourself more than necessary. Guest guest
Small needles will reduce muscle damage. Some use #25 1 " needles, but this may not be any " faster " than the above 50iu insulin needles. You do not need to inject into your gluts with 1.5 " needles! Canadian clinical research has demonstrated that TRT by SC [under the skin injections into body fat] produce steadier testosterone levels and improves sense of well-being. Feel free to find out what is more comfortable for you. I have found that by doing every other day, my levels have stabilized and I do feel better than once a week. Twice a week would probably be ok as well. The quad injections do actually get into the muscle as I'm quite lean but IF any of f he TES goes into the fat......see above, it's all good. My labs have all come back solid doing it this way....Test levels upper range and it's painless and easy. I will never do IM in the glutes with a bigger needle again....just no need Thanks for your reply > > The needle is possibly to short. > > FYI. > > Bill > > > > > ________________________________ > From: banditsdad2005 <banditsdad2005@...> > > Sent: Tue, June 1, 2010 9:02:22 PM > Subject: Check out my protocol and comment please..... > >  > Testosterone Cyp 125mg/wk split into every other day injections....injected into the quads with 1/2 " insulin needle > > Arimidex 1mg/wk split into .25mg Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun. > > Waiting to start HCG and will do 250iu SC EOD [every other day]with Test shots. > > Comments? > > * should I add DHEA to the mix? > > > > > > > >

Guest guest
Hmmm.. interesting. I agree with you, no glute shots. A) I can't check if I'm in a vein (I can't see the needle and pull back, all while twisting my old back around) and  the glutes usually require a longer, even large needle. When Dr. Crisler's nurse gave me an injection, it went in the glute and it hurt! I think they used a 22 ga. 1.5 " .   Not that they prefer glutes per se, only that for in-office shots they do glutes, not legs (at least that's what the nurse said). I wonder why, if shots into the fat are okay (or preferrable), that no one I've seen, including Dr. Crisler, recommend that approach. Not that I've seen everything Bill ________________________________ From: banditsdad2005 <banditsdad2005@...> Sent: Wed, June 2, 2010 8:57:54 AM Subject: Re: Check out my protocol and comment please.....  Small needles will reduce muscle damage. Guest guest
You can try adding DHEA 25 mgs up too 2x's a day look out for it converting into Estradiol if you don't need it it will do this. Guest guest
Phil, Any idea why the doc does sub-q rather than IM yet he tells you to go IM? I have always read and been told that it goes IM. Even the vial says so. Guest guest
Dr. is not ready for subQ T shots much like my Dr. but Dr. Shippen is having good luck doing T shots subQ. There are a lot of guys doing them this way been doing it for over 5 yrs. So it's about what you like I don't like subQ shots. I have to do my HGH shot subQ and hate it.
