In 2008 I circulated a similar survey around. When people responded, it provided

some really good information on what worked for some and what didn't. It also

gave us a big picture of what people were doing. With that said, if you would be

interested in sharing with the group, please provide answers to the following

questions and send to everyone:

1. What is your age? 51

2. How long have you been on TRT? 6 years

3. What source of T do you use with frequency and dosage? Testosterone Cypionate

- 90 mg once every 7 days.

4. What does your total T run and specify if this is peak, average or low? High

of 1200 at peak and 500 at end of week.

5. Do you do anything to control E2 conversion (i.e. arimidex). If so what is

the frequency and dosage? Arimidex - 0.25 mg 3 times a week

6. What does your E2 usually run? 30

7. Do you use HCG - if so what brand, frequency and dose? Used if for 1 month -

too much hassle from insurance and supply. Drove my E2 to 45 and increased my T

from 600 to 800.

8. What benefits has HCG provided you? None but probably was not on it long

enough. During the month no change in testicle size or mood.

9. Rate your health (1-10 with ten being the best)? 9 - walk/run 5 times a week

and workout on bowflex 2 times a week.

10. Rate your libido (1-10 with ten being the best)? 5 - not happy with this

just not sure how to improve it.

11. Rate your ability to get erections and keep them (1-10 with ten being the

best)? 6 - struggled with ED and then performance issues. Still have the

performance anxiety from not being able to get an erection for a couple years.

Cialis has helped but that thought is always there - hard to push out of my

mind.

12. Do you have prostate problems (enlarged, pain...) and do you know what your

PSA runs? Sometimes have problems urinating (low flow) but 90% of time not. PSA

usually runs ~ 1.9

13. What type of Dr. do you use and are you satisfied? GP won't go out on a limb

and sent me to an ENDO - He just does the basics - planning on changing to

someone more aggressive and up to date. For instance - he does not prescribe

arimidex.

14. List any advice or cautions you would like the group to consider? This is a

hard battle but is one worth fighting for. It takes a long time to find your

sweet spot and it will probably move in time. You have to take action because

the majority of the Drs. won't without a push from you. Tried gel, patches -

both sucked - shots are great and much easier to control. Arimidex is a

requirement for most. Thank God for this Forum - without it I would have

struggled. - Arkansas

if the highest your total is only 290 the gel is not working you need to

switch to shots.

No doubt. I'm hoping for shots, hcg, and arimidex. With the new doctor, I

went from 6 pumps to 8 pumps. I'm not expecting any great increase. I have

a blood test in 2 weeks and another appointment in March. I'm stuck until

then. The new primary doctor I see for the first time in April. He is a

DO, and I'm hoping that he will be better than the endos have been. Also,

he went to school in Michigan, so maybe there is a chance he has heard of Dr

Crisler.
