Good Morning Everyone,

Its good to hear from everyone without reservations. We will survive. Now that

I feel safer I'd like to put something out to everyone. I am currently into my

8th month of treatment and I've been taking alot in stride concerning my side

effects. However, the last 4 days have been really crappy. I haven't been able

to eat anything substantial and feel totally drained. Its really pissing me

off. Has anyone else been through this so far into treatment? Thanks! Love

Vicky

Hi Vicky. I am only in my 6th month, but last month I

had a couple of very bad weeks, and now I've been

better again. I guess you never know when it's going

to bite you in the ass. Can I say that? :) -dz-

I'll try to be careful, although technically ass is

not a swear word. I heard that it was the first

mention of PMS in the Bible that rode ph's

ass all the way to Bethlehem.. or something like that.

Have a great day. I have been feeling relatively well

for the past several days, after about 3 bad weeks, I

was beginning to think there would be no respite until

tx ended. Going in for my last blood test before the

6 month PCR test. -dz-

Good one Dave.

I think I remember in an earlier post you said you were growing hot peppers.

You wouldn't happen to have a recipe for selsa would you? I have cilantro

growing that seeded from last year and I believe it is used in selsa.

I put in a long row of potatoes - I don't know why I plant so much - it is a

lot of work. I don't spray -I pick bugs and squish eggs - that takes time.

But the garden is my quiet place. It is therapy for me to weed and think

about stuff.

Judy was taking her morning walk yesterday up the road (believe it or not, I

live on a tarred road) and guess what? - not far off the road was a black

bear! He was occupied with a bag of trash some uncaring person had thrown.

Judy ran home - and (I believe) changed her pants. :-)

Be well all,

Dennis

Dennis,

I'll just bet Judy changed her pants when she saw that bear......

Thank God she saw it first...... Are they dangerous to man?

Glad to hear that it is a form of therapy when you work with your

garden.. You must have patience to pick off all of those little buggers!

;-) Be well Dennis an as usual it is always good to hear from

you.........

Dennis, I'll have to get it from my brother, he makes

the chili for our deer hunting trip and makes some

awesome salsa, I'm pretty sure cilantro is one of the

ingredients. I have given him jalapeno & habanero

(sp?) peppers in the past. He has to make salsa on the

side, and we real men add it to our chili after much

whining that it was too hot from a few of our group.

:)

I have a bad disk which I am trying to avoid surgery

for by living with it, exercising and losing weight.

This therapy while interfering with the exercise is

helping me lose weight anyway. Weeding is very rough

on my back. Either standing still, or doing a lot of

bending are the worst things for my back. Otherwise I

used to get some theraputic benefits from it also.

It's good for us to get down in the dirt now and

then..

We have lots of black bears in Wisconsin, although

they are not as plentiful as they used to be. When I

was a kid we used to go to the dump at dusk and watch

them rummage around for food (we stayed in our cars)

Bears are actually very docile, except in the case of

a mother with young. They avoid humans and usually

smell or hear us before we see them and trot off

somewhere. There are always exceptions, so it's best

not to get too close. A black bear can outrun a man

for up to about 50 yards. Then in theory they are more

worn out than you are, if you are not on the combo,

that is. ;) They say bears have very sensitive noses

and if you can manage to hit them there, they will run

off. If you have the courage and presence of mind to

do that, you've earned my respect!!! -dz-

Watch out with those Habanero peppers. they aren't for amateurs. I have a

nephew that tried a little bite of one. He thought he was going to have to

go to the emergency room.

Good luck with your back. I know how much of a problem that can be. Hope you

have a good weekend.

They will come into your campsite while your cooking some times. Had this

happen to me once. Don't throw rocks at them it sure does make them mad.

I know what you mean, I like them, I grew some two

years ago, I don't think they were fully ripened by

the end of our season. They were hotter than the

jalapenos, but I have read that they are supposed to

be something like 1,000 times hotter. I don't really

remember the number, but it was very high. I think

that you gain a tolerance to hot food, although I have

been toning it down since being on this tx. -dz-
