Guest guest
If your experience was bad it is because you apparently expect me to explain what all the " okay " assays are. Try that anywhere else in medicine. Your expectations are, simply, ridiculous. I am not here to teach you all about TRT. > > > > > > My first visit cost $495. He doesn't take insurance. Guest guest
I have been suffering since 1991 (almost 18 years) and have seen many doctors and spend fortune to get proper treatment, everyone just keep giving me antidepressant and other no-nonsense drugs. My first appointment with Dr. C.J was about three months ago, and within these three month I feel much better, pretty much in state of my health I ever experienced, I am so blessed that I find this forum and with the help of this forum I came to know of Dr.Crisler. I honestly think you are in great need of help. Your posting first made me angry but I think how you feel is pretty much translate into your symptoms. Please feel free to contact me if I'll be any help to you. Thanks. ________________________________ From: mqsymth <alphadennis@...> Sent: Thu, November 5, 2009 5:48:18 PM Subject: My appointment with Dr. Crisler  My first visit cost $495. He doesn't take insurance. When I was in his office he talked very little. He asked why I was there and I told him he was recommeded by Phil and I was looking for a Dr. that would analyze all my hormones and balance them. He looked at the 2 years worth of labs I brought in and entered them into his computer while I sat there with very little conversation. He gave me a physical and told me to wait for the blood tests and the Rhein 24hr urine hormonal tests before he would say anything. I had to pay $225 for a Rheim 24hr urine hormonal test because it wasn't covered by insurance. Dr. Crisler also give me a form for blood work labs that I took in my city. He wouldn't let me see the lab results before he talked to me. In order to discuss my lab results with him, which I had not seen so couldn't form any intelligent questions about them, I had to pay him $60 for a phone consultation. He read my labs for the first time silently in the phone consultation which lasted a total of 10 min. Not knowing what the labs showed I asked him how were my adrenals, he said fine. I asked him how was my thyroid hormones, he said fine. I asked him how was my E2, he said fine. He said I should start HCG 250Iu 2x a week. My testicles have not shrunk from TRT and I don't relish the thought of injecting HCG 2x aweek for life so f..k that. He also said he wanted to measure another hormone and would send a script to the labs that I use. When they finally emailed me my blood lab and Rhein results to me after a few days, which they charged me $5 for, I noticed that the blood labs did not include T, Bioavailable T and E2...how did he know my E2 was ok? The Rhein 24hr hormone test showed total E2 excreted in 24hrs but not the level. So I emailed him to also send a script for these lab tests. I got no response. I called his office and asked the secretary why my email wasn't answered and she said to do the hormone lab tests first, pay $60 to discuss the hormone results with the DR and ask him at that time for the other tests. When I ordered some compounded T gel from his office they charged me $35 shipping and handling. Life Extension Pharmacy and University compounding pharmacy both charge $6 shipping and handling! He may be the Dr. " king " of hormones but you can't talk to him or ask him any questions via phone or email without paying him $60 even though you paid $495 for an initial minimal talk visit. I hope the other Doctors recomended by this site are more patient friendly!
Guest guest
Your critical comments have no basis in reality. " However brifly " is impossible while tryijng to describe/discuss laboratory analysis of perhaps a hundred perfectly normal lab results. The office visit is to solve medical problems and treat the patient, is it not? That means lab results that are " fine " need to take a back seat to those we need to explore. And if you think being an hour behind is a scheduling problem on our part, you have no concept of the reality of the situation. If you don't like what I charge, go elsewhere. If you aren't my patient, what concern is it of yours? Maybe I should triple it, as many of my students have. THAT will help more guys! And perhaps not have provided over 100,000 posts, FOR FREE, teaching about my field of medicine, to help all. You, sir, are an ingrate. BTW, any doctor who has all day to talk about normal laboratory tests has that time because they have nothing else to do. That should be a hint to you. LOL Just to try to square you with an iota of reality: there is not one single doctor on earth who could or would satisfy your demands. And I don't think you would remain a patient of mine for long, anyways, as my guys are ALL gentlemen. I do not have a single patient I do not personally like. Sure, guys feel lousy (whihc is why they came to me in the first place), but they act like adults. As I said, you wouldn't be around for long, acting as you obviously do. So, try thsat with every other doctor you interface with. And report back to us on how far you get with that. LOL Bottome line: if you think the medical care I provide is somehow substandard, then you have no idea what you are talking about. The boards always have a few guys like you on them, unfortunately. > > > > > > > > > > > > My first visit cost $495. He doesn't take > > > > insurance. Guest guest
I would hasten to add that many other doctors are far too " aggressive " in their treatment of thyroid and adrenal. They do not allow for the natural systems and rythms of the body to take hold and exert their various and sundary influences. The goal of treatment is a cure, not a lifetime on too many drugs. Overdosing does no thelp in that endeavor. My guys tend to do well on lower doses than those prescribed by other doctors. There are reasons for that. You must learn to trust the body; afterall, it got us here through eons of time. Illness is imposed upon an almost perfect system. We need to remove that imposition to restore health and happiness. > > > > > From: Marc Michaud <MisterX225@> > > > Subject: Re: Re: My appointment with Dr. Crisler > > > > > > Date: Thursday, November 5, 2009, 10:52 PM > > > > > > I was considering seeing him. Guest guest
Dr. Crisler, How clever of you to throw in a few " laugh out louds " LOL. Does that make you feel superior? You seem like an arrogant " ass " to me. You also show no financial " empathy " for the way you charged full retail to a patient who no insurance. You take no professional responsibility for your own oversite of your office scheduling. Because you were running an hour behind, you use this as a legitimate reason and defense for having this patient leave your office feeling that you did not take time to answer his questions throughly, and to HIS satisfaction, not your time limit. You show your childish arrogance to myself, and apparently others, who disagree with you, by calling us " ingrates " . Repeat, it is YOU who is an arrogant, no empathic, ASS. I am very grateful that I do not have the same questionable, and negative, attitude towards my doctor as this patient of your has. Grow up, stop calling names, learn to schedule your patients better. norton

Guest guest
I suppose you would like being smeared by an individual demanding what no physician can provide, for all your good work and sacrifice? Some of you gents have a very strange view of reality. Actually, this is exactly why I pretty much stick to my own forum. All the best to you. > > > Here's another goody: > > >BTW, any doctor who has all day to talk about normal laboratory tests >has that time because they have nothing else to do. Guest guest
Norton--There is no purpose in arguing with individuals such as yourself. It's a shame the boards always have a few individuals like you on them. You have no concept of reality. If you can find a doctor who has donated more of him/herself to our cause than I, please bring it to all our attention. Not that this would make a whit of difference to people like you. LOL I have already received numerous emails from other gents here who " get it " . This is a really good forum, and it does A LOT of good out there. > > Dr. Crisler, > How clever of you to throw in a few " laugh out louds " LOL. > Does that make you feel superior? > You seem like an arrogant " ass " to me. > You also show no financial " empathy " for the way you charged > full retail to a patient who no insurance. > You take no professional responsibility for your own oversite > of your office scheduling. > Because you were running an hour behind, you use this as > a legitimate reason and defense for having this patient leave > your office feeling that you did not take time to answer his > questions throughly, and to HIS satisfaction, not your time limit. > You show your childish arrogance to myself, and apparently others, > who disagree with you, by calling us " ingrates " . > Repeat, it is YOU who is an arrogant, no empathic, ASS. > > I am very grateful that I do not have the same questionable, > and negative, attitude towards my doctor as this patient of your has. > Grow up, stop calling names, learn to schedule your patients better. > norton >
