Guest guest
Anyone else feel like we are in the twilight zone??? The Jemsek hearings are amazing...cirlcular reasoning at its worst. The state cant have as many Lyme cases because they want it to be " rare " there ( despite the tick habitats, and presence of suffering residents), and the reported numbers of cases are too high and therefore wrong because many are attributable to Dr Jemsek. Well, he sees a high percentage of the cases in the state. (again like them saying too many reported heart disease patients by a cardiologist). Then they say Dr. Jemsek over diagnosis the cases, reports too many and cant be counted, and reason they cant be counted because the cases dont exist anyway...and why do they feel Dr. Jemsek is overdiagnosing?? because of its " rarity " there CANT BE so many cases to begin with...and we are back to the start of this silly circle. No one can prove its NOT Lyme, or when and if we are " cured " ..or what ELSE is plaguing us...but they all " believe " these people ( and we ) cant still have Lyme. Tuberculosis, Leprosy and other illnesses require very long treatments and no guarantee of total eradication of bacteria...so why is Lyme a pariah??? Just so all those ID drs dont have to admit that maybe they were wrong. Ideology and " belief " has little place in medicine. Sorry...I know Im preaching to the choir here but I had to vent. F.
