Guest guest
If you leave them out for a while, and let them warm up after they've been refrigerated, does the cloudiness disappear? If so, it is the saturated fats in the capsules that are solidifying. If the cloudiness remains even after they warm up, I wouldn't use them. Olive oil does the same thing when refrigerated. I've had to leave it out overnight just to be able to get it out of the bottle. I'm not sure how long you would have to let the fish oil capsules warm up to determine the cause of the cloudiness. lindaj@... Guest guest
They contain the good " fats " our body needs. aW Fish Oil Capsules Does anyone have info on why fish oil capsules are good for you? I looked at the clos.net website but I'm not convinced they are necessary (I don't have any health problems I'm trying to reverse by taking this supplement). If you've got any information and would be willing to share, I'd appreciate it. Thanks. Molly

Guest guest
Something about protecting the colon I believe. Dr. R explained it once on the list. Prhaps you can find it in the archives. It is supposed to protect from cancer, like eating a lot of cold water fish. Pat Fish Oil Capsules Does anyone have info on why fish oil capsules are good for you? Guest guest
I believe fish oil bodies contain an essential fat, one that your body cannot produce. I think I read about it in the Protein Power Book. Phil
Guest guest
I hear ya Jeanne, I bought some cod liver oil and I can't take the taste. I hate to waste things so I started putting it in capsules and can swallow the capsules ok. I got tired of doing that, so now the CLO it's sitting in the freezer until I manage to do more capsules again. I just take fish oil now. The o3mega in the white bottle is fine. It doesn't take fishy to me, and I have a hard time with fishy tastes. It also has a hint of orange. (It's by the greens plus people, I forgot their new name). The one that's just fish oil is around the same price as other fish oils, pay attention you don't get the ones that say o3mega joy or o3mega think (unless you want to) they're double the price. BTW, it's liquid not caps, which I think is better. elyse On 2-Jul-06, at 1:28 PM, jeannekrieg@... wrote: > Off and on I try to take fish oil or cod liver oil. Hooray for all of you that love fish and seafood but I just can't seem to choke the stuff down, regardless of the brand or added flavorings. Suggestions? Hi Jeanne, You might check out vitacost.com. They have quite a variety of fish liver oil capsules as well as other supplements with some pretty good prices and shipping is very affordable. :-) Debra NW

Suggestions? ==>There are a number of capsules available. I think taking fish oil capsules and vitamin A & D from halibut liver oil capsules is a good combination, and you can regulate the amounts easier. Guest guest
Hi, I know several people in the group recommended taking fish oil capsules and found it really beneficial. I checked with my doctor and then bought the Kirkland brand again because of a recommendation. The dosage is listed as 3 a day with meals. I'm curious what dosage others are using and if you saw an improvement and how soon. Thanks for any info.
Guest guest
Please explain how you check fish oil for purity (no heavy metals).
Guest guest
I'm taking 1000mg. 3 times a day. That's the recommended dosage on the label. My doctor said to follow label instructions. Just wondering what others are doing.
