Guest guest
I can't believe how much my arthritis has progressed in recent weeks and months. Last winter, Dec 16 or so, 3rd toe right foot, then over the winter 3rd metatarsal-interphalangeal joint. By spring, 4th metatarsal on R foot. Also developed knee problems, whether from PsA or from twisting to break my fall on ice, I am not sure. June 14th, (now I know dates, because I check from day to day), My index finger of R hand. August 20th or so, L foot, outside near the heel. Now, the 2nd toe of R foot is swollen. This one I realize is quite an anchoring toe. It is quite difficult now to walk on my right foot, and even my left isn't perfect. Unfortunately my rheumy appointment is not until December. If anyone has any advice at all, I have been holding off on NSAIDs, or at least reducing the amount, but maybe now is the time to take more? Has anyone experienced improvement after a short course on NSAIDs, say a few weeks, or does the flare pass, or what? I do notice some of the joints that began to swell a few months ago seem better, but not sure if this is real or not. Is it normal for the pain to move around? Unfortunately the old areas of pain never really go away though. I do have Rheumatoid factor, is this more like RA? Kinga
