There's more than a good chance that with those levels of D that you were taking, that the D was suppressing your immune system and therefore keeping the PA at bay. Vitamin D, in high doses, does in fact suppress the immune system. I am on 50,000 units twice per month (for osteoporosis), and the endocrinologist was hopeful that it might help my PA. It hasn't, but has helped the OP.
