Guest guest
Hi to all. I just found this site. I am 39. When I was 18 I was diagnosed with P.A., thyroid and disease. I led a normal life with some meds up until 7 years ago when I had my child. Then I literally fell apart. I had to take sick leave for 3 years. I am a special needs teacher and finally a job came available where I wasn't on my feet much and was able to work. After 3 years, they took my job (long story). The stress of this has sent my body haywire. So for the last several months my rheumy has had me on Enbrel (stopped working), then Humira. The Humira was making me " not myself. " I had headaches, felt funny, fatigue, and still in pain. So at today's visit he gave me Rx for Celebrex. He also had interchanged the name PA and Ankylosing Spondylitis when referring to my condition which confused me. So today I simply asked him and he said, " no it's P.A. " Why would he do that? Also my other biggest problem besides the pain(I can't turn my neck or hardly bend) is HAIRLOSS. I mean the kind that looks like chemo. I am devastated beyond words. I have had bouts before but you could never tell with all my thick hair. This time it's like it is all going. I cry every single morning because it is not stopping. He simply says, " could be thyroid (my levels are good), could be the PA, or anxiety. HELLO!! No job, losing my hair, in pain, arguing with my dr.....yeah, anxiety is a big part of my life. But I know people who have PA, thyroid disease, high levels of stress, and NO hairloss. I am so confused and tired of all this. I eat right, exercise, take vitamins...and am getting worse. Can anyone relate??? Please.....
