Allergies to NSAIDS?

Hello All,

I was wondering if anyone else has had an experience with having

allergic reactions to several different NSAID? I of course started

of with naproxen and developed hives after taking and before that was

getting no relief whatsoever. So, I was switched to relafen, and

after taking for 3 weeks, developed a hive like rash and after being

evaluated from my doctor it was determined it was an intolerance from

the relafen and was switched to feldene. I also have been started on

methotrexate and have been on for just 3 weeks, but also I have now

been on the feldene for approximately 3 almost 4 weeks and have

broken out in a rash all over my body.

I was not sure what to do and know not everthing is related to PA or

Fibro, so I was able to see my Primary doctor yesterday and he said

that my rash on part of my arms was hives. So, I called my rheumy,

and she was thinking it could be MTX related and pulled me off the

feldene and put me on prednisone until I see her again the end of

April to help control the rash and see if it makes any difference.

I have been reading, but if you are allergic to NSAID's than what do

you take? I know I will find out more when I follow up with her?

But was wondering if anyone had experience with this.

Thanks for listening.

Debbie
