Guest guest
Hi Casey, Anti-inflamatories are inflammation reducers however, they also help with the pain. Inflammation can cause the nerve endings to swell and this leads to pain. Once the anti-inflamatory is introduced, it reduces the inflammation thus the nerve stops sending out messages to the brain that pain is present. If you can think of an aspirin going in to reduce the the inflamed area then you will see what an anti-inflamatory is doing since aspirin is the leader of the pack. At least, this is what I remember from college. I could have it wrong since the brain fog has taken up residence in my head. LOL. Hugs, > > nsaids ARE anti-inflamatories. not pain killers. nsaids will reduce inflamation. pain killers work on parts of the brain that control pain. if im wrong please let me know. > casey > >
