Guest guest
Hi Samm, I had Asthma before lyme, but it has gotten worse with the lyme. I feel bad because I have to use the inhalers and you know no steriods for lymies, but I couldn't breathe if I didn't use them. What helps the most is if I use the preventative inhalers and allergy shots. Good luck, Connie, MI
Guest guest
What does your Lyme doctor say? He would be the best one to ask. Steroids have a bad name with Lymies, for good reason. But sometimes they're needed. And a few puffs on an inhaler isn't going to be like some shots for shoulder pain. Guest guest
I don't know how bad your asthma is but I used to have shortness of breath and my allergist prescribed Singulair (a pill I take before bed) and I have been on it for 9 months and those symptoms have completely disappeared. It's the only prescription medication I use now and the only one that I feel has truly made a difference for me.
