Guest guest
Hi, Speaking from personal experience as one with psoriatic arthritis and also has a Physical therapist, psoriatic arthritis is an inflammatory disease. The shin bone along with the other bones in the human body, have tendons which attach from bone to muscle. These tendons can become inflamed . Icing it and anti-inflammatories work for me. If anyone has experienced plantar fascitis, this too is caused by the tendon becoming inflamed. My rheumy told me years ago that that those with psoriasis and then develop heel pain are a sure diagnosis of psoriatic arthritis. Similar for costochrondritis (rib pain). Exercise in moderation is a good rule of thumb for us with inflammatory arthritis. Continuous repetitive movements are not advisable. Swimming is really the best as it is non -weight bearing and doesn't exert strain on the joints. Also a good supportive shoe hope this helps Doris
