Guest guest
Hi All: My prayers and sympathies to you all. I am 60 years old Male. Fairly healthy all my life. About 4 years ago I complained to my doctors about pain in the ankles and knees when I wake up that goes away after walking to the bathroom and back. What worried me is not the pain but the fact that there is some new development in my body that I don't understand. The doctor gave me some samples of medicine, I took may be two or three tablets only. I noticed improvement and stopped taking the medicine. May be after a year or two the pain came back. It was very mild and only not knowing what it is that bothered me. X-rays were taking to my ankles but did not show any thing. Often, I felt fatigued. Then two patches of P appeared on my scalp about 10 months ago. The dermatologist send a sample to the lap and diagnosed P. After that flakes appeared in my ears also. I did not take any medicine. Doing research on my own I diagnosed myself with PA. Reading your emails alarmed me and I thank you all. I saw a rhumatologist in August. He said when there is more severe pain I will give you something to manage the pain. About 10 patches of P 1/2 inch diameters appeared on eache leg. NOw I noticed there is mild pain in my elbows and soles. I understand from reading your posts that there is structural damage going on. My GP who gave me the samples a few years ago said it was Mopic that he gave me. He gave me a Mobic prescription last week that I did not purchase yet. Apart from the fatigue I feel often, the pain does not bother me yet. Should I be taking some medicine? Should I go to the rhumatologist again? I feel the joint pain is spreading to fingers, elbows, knees and heels. I negelcted excercising, what is the effect of excercise on PA? Thank you all. --------------------------------- Bring words and photos together (easily) with PhotoMail - it's free and works with your .
