Guest guest
The chat room is open now ... come on in. To chat, go to: /chat . You will NEED to sign in with your ID and password. Look for the " Sign In " hyperlink. If you have not yet gotten a ID, you will need to get one by " Linking your email address or accounts to a ID " . Try starting at this page: http:// and look for the hyperlink that says " eGroups members link your accounts to a ID here " . You'll have to follow the steps provided. If you have questions, click on the " Help " at the top of the page. Unfortunately I will be able to offer only limited help with this because the procedure has changed since I originally asked everyone to get a ID. Since I have an ID, I can't just walk through the steps and give you a play by play. However, has always been really good about getting back to me when I needed help. And the " Help " section has actually been, surprise, helpful on occasion. =) You can also go to: sign in and then click on " Chat " on the left hand side of the screen. Again, you will NEED to sign in with your ID and password before you are allowed access to any of the webpage features, including the chat room. If you have forgotten your password, look for a link that says something like " Forgot your password? " You will have to answer some of the questions you filled out when you got your ID, then will send you your password. I know this sounds complicated, but really it is not. If you have your ID and remember your password, you will be in the chat room ready to go in a matter of minutes. The chat room is fairly basic. There is a large box that shows what everyone is " saying " . Below it is a smaller box to the right of the word " Chat " . Type what you want to say in this box and hit " Send " . As you become more comfortable with this format you can explore a little bit and use emoticons (pictures) change fonts, and colors and probably do a few more things that I don't even know about yet. =) There is also a " Chat Help " available that might be able to answer your questions or give you some ideas as to what can be done with your chat box. The chat room is ALWAYS open. You may want to check it out before the scheduled chat just to see how things work!
Guest guest
Hi Barb, I would like to chat too. I didn't even know that we had a chat room. Well, I have to tell you all about my day back to work. Yesterday I did ok. The boys on the bus help me hook up the wheel chair and I even let them run the lift which they did good. And today it went well again. And the school gave me an extra time in the after noon the kids that are not doing too well in school and have to stay after for about 1 1/2 hour well I and some others take them home. Those are the worst kids that I have ever taken home. They fight, yell, cuss, and they also stand up. And if a cap sees them standing up they can give ME a ticket. So, I asked them o sit down they told me to shut up. Well, that just set me off. I know not to touch them in anyway. But, I just told the teacher and he got on them which done no good either. One told me that I was NOT his mama. I told him that he better THANK GOD THAT I, AM, HIS MAMA. Or I would tan his hide. Well, to make a long story short I was so worn out from that I had to take pain medication and go to bed for while. As much as I need the money I don't know if I need the way the kids act on that bus route.... A hour of ####. Take care,

Guest guest
I have just figured out that he did the permanent wires during the trial. I talked to the doc and he stated the wires act as a drain and its normal to have them DRAIN. I have a feeling most of you all had the temporary wires put in first which I think are flimsy and small because they can be inserted with out an incision. when you actually had your implant surgery did you have an incision...in your butt or stomache. Apparently some docs place battery in hip area others in stomache...... Guest guest
I spoke with doc.....drainage is normal because the wires act as a drain....he did tell me to change the dressing daily. I have permanent wires placed.so that the next surgery is just implanting the generator,. Deb From: Stimulator [mailto:Stimulator ] On Behalf Of kimleach Sent: Thursday, October 09, 2008 1:56 AM Stimulator Subject: Re: Re: Chat time Deb Hun I have not had a stimulator but no that does not sound normal to me at all !!! I would be calling someone right now!!!! All they can tell you is that yes it is normal if it is ok but that does not sound normal at all. I cannot think of anything that would be causing that type of drainage. You need to call your pain mgt doc or the hospital where you had it done and talk to who is on call and see what they tell you. I would also be calling my pain mgt doc and asking why the HE** you were told one small hole and you came out with a 4 inch incision! Get some answers you know from being I think you said you were a nurse like me forgive me if I am wrong, but if you do not insist on answers or explanations you do not get them! Therefore the need to the scs......I am a little leary cause I know that I cant have MRI s anymore. Deb From: Stimulator [mailto:Stimulator ] On Behalf Of Corn Sent: Thursday, October 09, 2008 1:52 AM Stimulator Subject: RE: Chat time Deb I never had back surgery. This does not seem normal to me Deb. I did not have any drainage from the site of the wires. It sounds like you are having more than drainage. I would contact my doctor or go to the hospital to check this out to make sure you don't have an infection. I don't want to alarm you, but this doesn't sound right. I'm here any time you or anyone else needs anything. Good luck. Please keep me posted.
