Guest guest
Hi Carla and Marietta! Carla, I was tested for various grain allergies, so they must be a problem for some people. And some people have an inability to digest certain modern developments of grains (is that celiac disease?) That can cause a lot of problems, even though it isn't an " allergy " . I knew someone who had RA, and had terrible flare ups if he ate corn. My priest's daughter breaks out in hives if she eats corn. Marietta, your list of foods was interesting. I've been seeing this over and over when talking to people with arthritic diseases. Plants and vegetables from the nightshade family seem to be a problem (as in tomatoes, potatoes, and peppers). Hmmmm. . . you have the sensitivity, but tested negative for an allergy. I have the sensitivity and tested positive for allergy. Has anyone figured out what the link is between arthritic diseases and problems with eating nightshade vegetables? And historical FYI: during the Middle Ages, plants and vegetables from the nightshade family were considered " poisonous " . I'll bet someone with an arthritic disease decided that!
