Guest guest
What WONDERFUL news!!! I hope and pray this continues for you/her. Ive noticed that younger kids bounce back so quickly....I am so glad that this is true for your family as well- what a blessing. Enjoy!!! be well Finette [“Pride is concerned with who is right. Humility is concerned with what is right.†- Ezre Taft Benson] [ ] post babesia behavior-OMG!!! I have posted this update to another board (lyme treatments) but I also wanted to share it with this group. I can only hope and pray that with long-term treatment we will see long term success and others have similar results. Here are the differences in behavior after 3 weeks of Mepron/Zithro: Her energy level is through the roof. It's very qualitative. She was on the far side of our yard and wanted to " run back to the house to get a shovel " that never would have happened before. She is able to GIVE affection rather than always needing affection. She's sleeping in her bed all night > 50% of the time instead of 0% of the time. She is able to control herself. Several times yesterday she started a whinny " mommy . . . " I said " what " and she answered " I'm not going to say it " That never happened before. She wants me to teach her letters. She's counting up to twenty for fun. She's not crying and begging to be put to bed at 7:30 but instead is twirling in front of the mirror singing herself a song about how she loves nightgowns. She's given up eating Otios and Spinach Munchies -- her main diet for almost two years. She eats with gusto and almost always wants the first thing I offer her. I am not walking on egg shells. She is hugging her little brother and trying to take care of him. She is able to watch " scary movies " like Ice Age. She is able to look at " scary " pictures of bugs and dinosaurs. In addition, the myalgia has faded. No join pain, no headaches, no eye pain. But she still has abdominal pain. We don't know about burning urination because she is still on a sugar free diet and sugar does seem to radically affect her urinary symptoms. ________________________________________________________________________ AOL now offers free email to everyone.
