Guest guest
The good news is that diet, paying attention to diet and lifestyle, and a career change, I have been in total remission for about 10 months now. Being on Cobra and knowing my health plan will end soon, I have been filling my scrip for Humira. I still do MTX but not frequently. I fill my scrips as my PA could become active again and I wouldn't be able to afford it once my health plan expires in a few months. So my Humira has expiry dates ranging from a few months from now to mid next year. I hate to see it expire and won't be using it if it expires. I am in a quandary what to do with it. I understand that it can't be sold or even given away. My Doctor says to return it to him or the pharmacy. It just seems such a waste and I feel guilty getting it now, even though my intentions were good. I have read all the info on shelf life for Humira.....wondering if anyone else has kept it past the expiry date and done it? I know probably not a wise thing to do for many reasons....but I am curious as seeing it go to waste seems a shame.
