Guest guest
" I saw my rheummy today. He raised up my Aleve to three a day.. said he can make it 500 mg if necessary. it is at 375 now. " 375 mg to 500 mg a DAY???? Wow, I could never make it. I take 500 mg of Naproxen (Aleve's generic name) THREE times a day in order to be able to function! Actually, that's pretty good for me; before the hip replacement, I was taking the Naproxen 500 tid, and topping it off with another 400-800 mg of Ibuprofen as well as one or two Ultracets at night. So cutting out all that and just taking the 500 mg three times daily (NO Ibuprofen and NO Ultracet) is great for me. It's basically just my feet and sacroiliac joint that bug me now, and the Naproxen takes care of it pretty well....not like the hip, NOTHING touched that hip before the operation. Brightest Blessings to you. Wanda
Guest guest
I printed up the Maya Angelou quote that you use and it's hanging over my desk at work. I am sorry that you are having to deal with so much stress in your life. Do you have a cell phone? I use my cell phone's alarm clock to remind me of appts...even to take my meds or give meds to my daughter who has special needs. -Betz >
Guest guest
Liz, Just take one day at a time. Tackle one problem at a time put them in priorities , finding or getting back into your PP should be first.Pray for your friend in pain and suggest that she/he go to the doctor. Do you have a significant other? Talk to them let them carry some of the load. Remember your health comes first. I had a boss one time tell me I was #1 (I was sick with the flu and at work) and if I didn't take care of #1 who would? Then there was #2 my children, if I wasn't in good health than I couldn't and wouldn't be any good to them. I found that to be very true. Especially now, I have a son 13 who I have to spend time with and do things with, meaning I have to let some things go, like house work or yard work. Having had kids at a young age I learned from my mistake of not being there when they were teens, people think young ones need you more that's not true teens need you more, because of all the things happening in their world drugs, smoking, sex. Just some advice, not trying to tell you what to do just want you to take care of you, good thing you got your shrink to talk to your PCP maybe that will do it or if you make an appt. yourself and talk to your doctor. Just take it slow and one problem at a time so you won't get overwhelmed. Sorry sometimes the momma comes out in me. Will keep you n my prayers and will give you all the moral support you need over the puter!!!
