Guest guest
I've run the gauntlet: Celebrex, Methotrexate, Enbrel, Humira, Remicade and Remicade with MTX. I'm currently on Remicade with MTX and have had 5 treatments. I also take 20mg per day of prednisone to further help control swelling, pain and inflammation. So far, the prednisone seems to be the thing that helps me the most. But, we know how bad prednisone can be for your system and body in general. My Rheumy works with University Hospital in Denver. He indicated that he would be switching me over to Orencia to participate in a study at the hospital, since Orencia hasn't been approved by the FDA for the treatment of PA yet. Also, being a study, you don't have to pay...and I don't think my insurance would pay if the drug hasn't been approved for PA yet. I'm hoping for good things to happen. Any good stories out there? I'm really hoping this is going to give me my life back. Regards, Mark Kelley , CO
