Hi everyone,

I am new on here and fairly new to the whole PA thing too. I was

diagnosed about 5 months ago. I have had mild psoriasis since I was

about 12 years old. Then about 18 months ago I just slowly started

hurting everywhere. My feet were the worst. My doctor could not figure

out what was wrong so she sent me to a rheumatologist. She diagnosed me

with PA right away. Even though I have had psoriasis most of my life, I

had never heard of psoriatic arthritis. She started me on methotrexate,

prednizone, folic acid, and a calcium supplement. Within just a few

weeks I felt so much better, but now it is not working as well. Is that

how it usually works? The meds work for a while, then have to be

changed because they stop working??? She has now started me on Enbrel.

I wasnt to thrilled about the whole giving myself a shot thing, but I

did my first this Wednesday and it wasnt so bad.
