Guest guest
Hi: I am a 35 year old mom of 4 (our youngest is now 7 months old. I have had psoriasis ever since I can remember...I think it really began getting bad in my teens. I joined this group not knowing if I have PA...my new dermatologist referred me to an " arthritis dr. " when I mentioned that I have pain in my foot so bad that sometimes I cannot walk. Now I am freaking out because I think I have PA. I have read WAY too much info online about it and now I need some support. I would love to hear some of your stories...especially from those on enbrel...I am just about sold on the idea of this med. My only reservations are that it can affect the immune system. Thanks...I look forward to your posts! Kim [Editor's Note: The only medications that are effective, Kim, are those that effect our immune systems because PA is an autoimmune disorder. For anything to work, it MUST deal with our immune systems. Unfortunately, when a medication does that successfully, it may lead to other immune problems. Most of us would rather have a few very minor side effects than the horrible, debilitating and life-destroying effects of the disease.
