Guest guest
we are about to change companies and since THIS time my husband is the plan coordinator for the law firm he is the director of financial services for; we have the choice. any of you have good or bad feedback re: Aetna?? they claim to be Lyme neutral-- treating related claims like all other diseases/treatments. And they seem to be reasonable with premiums. Yet that is what Oxford told the brokers who then informed us...and here we are awaiting State of NY insurance board decisions and filing almost weekly complaints, against theyre hidden and discriminatory practices. We dont want to jump into another Fry Pan!!! Any thoughts good vs bad about any other named company?? (you may email me directly if you wish) such as which Dr they certify as able to dx and tx Lyme ( seems that a hidden INTERNAL memo in Oxford declares that after 60 days " only " a neuro, rheumo, or ID can) and if they limit meds...Oxford limits zithro to SIX pills a month, and denies overages if they see dx=Lyme!! But with a cheaper medication, magically you can have any Dr at any length of time....hence the filed complaints.(finrussak@...) BTW on another topic: have any of you heard about a south NJ peds name Barry Berman in the Sewell/Woodbury areas ( across the river from Phila)??? Someone asked about his Woodbury Peds practice re: Lyme and also re: in general..and other than knowing him personally thru mutual friends, Id love some more feedback. thanks, hope all are doing well as can be expected during this wet humid ( for the Northeast) summer.
