Guest guest
Hey " Forgetful Shaun " !!!! Top this one: At work on Saturday, I went into the restroom. Stood there for a minute. Walked out and went back upstairs to my desk before I remembered that I went to the restroom because I needed to USE the bathroom. Classic brainfog example that I will NOT be sharing with most people. Only this group would understand. Of course then I got the giggles and could not answer anyone when they ask me what was so funny. Yeah...like I'm gonna tell them at work " Oh nothing...I just went to the bathroom but forgot to pee! " What a disease! - " Forgetful Betz "

" What a > disease! - " Forgetful Betz " > A few weeks ago I went to WalMart in the middle of the night to do some grocery shopping. I spent about 40 minutes perusing the isles and putting things in my basket. Went through checkout. Paid my bill and left. I was just putting my car in reverse when one of the stockboys stopped me and told me I had left my groceries at checkout. LOL Sandi (I'd rather laugh than explore my other emotional options)

Guest guest
and Group, I struggled for over 3 years without a diagnosis and constant daily pain. It started in both thumbs and within 2 months moved throughout my entire body. I have PA all over. I went to one Rheumatologist (male Dr) and was told to take two motrin because the blood work was normal. I went to another doctor for a second opinion. This was a female doctor. My blood work was normal except for thyroid. I was started on thyroid medicine and my rheumatologist hoped that the joint pain would be relieved by fixing the thyroid. After 6 weeks I was started on Plaquenil. Initially my Rheumatologist asked about Rashes and I did not think anything about scalp rashes that I got every month. I thought that I was allergic to shampoo. I had no idea that it was Psoriasis. I told my Rheumatologist that 10 years ago I got a bad rash all over my body then it went away. I would also get small rashes on my eye lids in the winter. That was it. Plaquenil helped and after about 4 months I got a terrible rash all over my body and started itching like crazy. My whole body peeled at once and I felt faint. I called the doctor and they immediately took me off of it. My Dr said that they do not give it to people that have psoriasis because it can make their psoriasis worse. I booked an appointment with a dermatologist because I started doing more research and I suspected that I had PA due to my tests being negative and this reaction to plaquenil. I also noticed that my finger and toe nails started looking deformed and had well defined vertical ridges on them. My diagnosis at this point was Sero Negative RA. I went to the dermatologist and after a quick exam and just looking at my whole body with the naked eye, he determined that I had plaque psoriasis covering 85% of my body. He really knew his stuff. He said that that rash 10 years ago was the start of PA and the joint pain occurs later. My Rhuematologist concurred and later diagnosed me with PA. I have been on every anti inflammatory medicine that there is. This diagnosis allowed me to start Enbrel which has been a godsend. I started it in July 06 and have been about 80% pain free. I still have foot pain because of heel spurs, but my podiatrist is trying to fix that. This time last year I was using a cane due to Baker's cysts and Knee pain. I was in bed most of the time and had to give up my full time job. My blood work continues to be neg. Except for one instance when I was put on one medicine called methotrexate that caused my liver enzymes to go up, but I was immediately taken off of it. It was the last drug I was on before I could start Enbrel. Also, do not be scared about the side effects of some of the medicines. You are already sick and you need to be helped. That is what the drugs are for to help you lead a normal life. I have to wrap up. It is Shot night. I have to give myself my Enbrel Shot. <http://www./s/379501> http://www./s/379501
Guest guest
Hi everyone, I don't post much, but I do read the posts. When I was diagnosed with PA it was strange. I had a spot on my ankle that was really red. I was at work and as the day grew on, this spot started getting larger and larger. I thought I had been bitten by a spider. Well, in the afternoon this spot was horrible, and had red streaks going up my leg eeeekkk!! So I contacted my regular doctor, she got me in quickly and they did some blood tests, put me on antibiotics, and we watched this spot. Two days later my blood tests came back Positive for Rheumatoid Arthritis and Lupus. My regular doctor immediately contacted a Rheumatologist. The Rheumy had no openings for 4 months, but after my doctor told her my RA factor and the positive Lupus test she got me in the very next day. After many blood tests, and the fact I had Psoriasis spots all over me, my Rheumy concluded that even tho I have a positive Rheumatoid Arthritis test, my disease is " acting " more like Psoriatic Arthritis. The Lupus is still positive also. I had been going to the Rheumatologist for about 6 months when I was stricken with very strange and hardcore muscle spasms and pain. I was then diagnosed with Fibromyalgia also. I gues i'm just a walking Auto Immune Disease. After being sick like this for a year, I lost my marriage of 20 years (my ex is getting re-married today to a woman who is way younger than him and who isn't sick like me), and I also lost my job of 11 years!! What a year last year was! My year this year is way better tho, i've met the most wonderful man in the world, and he is very supportive of me and these diseases. He's so quick to help me in any way he can, and DOESN'T want me to work, which was never an option in my marriage. I'd love to have my paycheck, but the stress of my job, or any job just really isn't worth it at this stage of my life with pain. I hope you all are feeling good and rested today. *soft hugs* Misty bmadron <bmadron@...> wrote: and Group, I struggled for over 3 years without a diagnosis and constant daily pain.
