Guest guest
I am looking for a good PCP (Primary Care Physician) in Wichita, KS. I would like to find one with at least a couple of patients with PA so they would have some idea of how to treat me and the possible side affects. I have a good Rheumatologist (Dr. Mortinstein); however, my doctor doesn't seem to put any credit to what he recommends. I am fairly new to PA. I am 42 and was diagnosed less then a year ago with P but my skin really wasn't bad at all. I started having toe/foot/ankle problems and swelling at the end of June and was diagnosed with PA in October. I've finally started Enbrel (as my Rheumatologist recommended) and after 2 shots starting a little over a week ago I've have had significant improvement. I can walk faster than a snail's pace! And my feet don't hurt nearly so bad! The constant pain was draining. It's amazing how much more I can get done at work and at home. I've cut off the Tylenol but am still working on reducing the maximum strength prescription Naproxin. I really want a PCP that will work with me and my Rheumatologist – and at least discuss things with the Rheumatologist when they have opposite opinions of what I should do. This has been a very stressful situation.
