Guest guest
Greetings from Dallas, Tx., I have been reading and reading your posts, and there is something so comforting about knowing that you are all out there. ) My 18 year old daughter was just diagnosed with PsA. Are there any other teens out there? She is lonely and could sure use a friend who knows what she is going through. she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at two, asthma at four, and had a 'fuo' (fever of unknown origin) for a year at twelve... they finally took out her gall bladder, but that didn't seem to help. After that she started having pain in her joints and tissues.... first she was diagnosed with undifferentiated spondyloarthropathy, then rickets, then fibromyalgia... now (we're on our 5th rheumatologist) the guy says that it's PsA. They wouldn't put her on biologics when diagnosed with spondyl. because she had tested positive for being exposed to tuberculosis (?!) so she took a year of tb meds, so now they say they can put her on Humira in three weeks if the blood tests and xrays confirm PsA. Does any of this sound familiar? She has been on hydrocodone for years, and finally is on the Duragesic pain patch... but her pain remains at an 8.5 on a good day. I so appreciate your insight and willingness to share! thanks, Irene
