all the pain and joint deteriation continues????

I have been in this group for a few months now. I went to a new rheumy

the other day (still not mega-impressed- will keep looking- no one

seems to want to help me with the pain aspect).

But I am confused about something...why do people who are on these

drugs (I mean you guys and myself) continue to have such pain and

problems? Isn't that the point of MTX, biologics, etc, to stop the

destruction- thus helping with the pain? Is it that damage has already

been done and that is the baseline for each of us? Is it that those of

us who struggle w/ the pain part of this are not being treated

aggressively enough? Please share your stories w/ me about this b/c I

am still new to this- being diagnosed only a few months ago. thanks and

many days of relief to us all!!
