Guest guest
After floating through the cosmos with what I thought was permanent brain fog and cognitive weirdness, I actually found some things that helped. I bought a Nintendo and started doing The Brain Age Game (you've seen the ads everywhere). I think I had a brain age of 90 at first, but then gradually over a couple of weeks, I saw some real results. The fog and depression got better. Then I got a PC version of mah jongg. Wow! I think some synapses have gotten reconnected and repaved. Tonight, my husband was trying to remember what a tv chef said about cutting into a mango. We saw this show last week. It took me a few seconds, but then I remembered what he had said to do. My husband and I were both really surprised. We also made an unplanned detour to the grocery store, and I didn't have my list that was posted on the fridge. But I remembered what was on it! I play mah jongg almost every day now, and I'm trying also to learn chess. My husband likes sudoku puzzles. He thinks he's sharper and more focused because of it. I still have the odd slip-up spell, but I really believe mah jongg gave me my brain back. norell
