Guest guest
Oh yea i spelled that right, I am taking 4 mgs. Methprednisone + 3 other drugs, NSAIDS, pain and placquinel and no doctors do not want you take these drugs for long. I am taking this now going on 5 months. It is the only thing that is working for me. I have taken all the NSAIDS i build up resistance to them. I took MTX, shots that i can no longer get, not selling them in Tn . (WHY) 25 mg. did not work, i still got very sick with the shots but better then the pills. Lost about 30 lbs. in 6 mons. My doctor wants me to take Enbrel, but the truth is i am scared, side affects, sick and tired of taking drugs that does little or make me feel bad. I am not doing well tonight, it is raining and cold, going to mix again on Sat. ice. in the mountains. No Light, can not get to see people due to weather and feeling bad. Boo Hiss, Oh well i have B---h and carried on now maybe i will feel better, you got to keep you since of humor. Hello to the new people, i am fairly new myself, but it is good to have people who understand and do not think you are crazy. Peace and Love Pearl (hoping for spring)
Guest guest
Are you sure it isn't methylprenisolone? My husband has Wegener's Granulomatosis (another autoimmune disorder) and has taken it for years. He changed to it after our rheumy said he shouldn't take anymore prednisone. Been on Enbrel. I took it for several years. I felt much better. Got both the psoriasis and arthritis under control. The only problems I had were if I was around people who were sick. I had to be very careful of germs, but overall I did well. My insurance decided I no longer qualified for it since I do not have plaque psoriasis. Have they looked at my hands and feet lately, I wonder? I am now working on a more natural approach. Serapeptase and Omega3 Oils are helping some. They are both natural anti inflammatory. My biggest problem right now is the Erythema Nodosum. I keep active, type a lot a work to keep my fingers limber, and play the recorder. I find when I keep moving, I feel better, even though sometimes it hurts and is hard to get started. MTX is also available in pill form. Ask your doctor. I took them before I started the Enbrel. Hope things get better for you soon. I know how miserable and depressing it can be to be in pain all the time. Trask > > Oh yea i spelled that right, I am taking 4 mgs.
