Guest guest
Hi everyone, First I'd like to thank all of you who contributed to my previous thread, and sharing your experiences with biologics. I saw my rheumy again a couple of days ago and it was a little interesting. He had the report for the MRI of my sacroiliac area, and assured me that it had been interpreted by someone who is extremely good at her job. Apparently the machines where I had mine done are getting old and don't give the best scan, but it is showing that there's definitely something not right about the left side of my SI. The interesting part is, she thinks she's seeing a cyst there. I'm being sent for a CT scan now, so we'll see what it says. What makes this more interesting is, I was called by my neurologist's office to come in to see him because he needs to talk to me about something on my MRI's he had done in the summer. One was of my brain, and the other was of my spinal column. This was being done " just in case " , to rule other things out that may have been causing some odd symptoms I've been having. Now I'm wondering if he's seeing the same thing on his MRI as they are on my rheumy's. I have a ton of pain in my mid to lower spine and have for years. There is, however, a spot just to the left of my lower spine that I've also noticed. It's very close to my spine and is definitely near the SI. Hmmmm......I wonder if there is a cyst there and that's been contributing to my pain? Interesting...I see him in a few days. The Mobic is out and Celebrex is in. He's putting me on a fairly heavy dose of it to start - 200mg twice a day. I'm closely watching for negative effects, of course. I'm really hoping it works and I'll be able to avoid the biologics, for now at least. I'm sure some of you here have some comments about Celebrex....lol!
