The psoriasis can be present for years before any arthritis symptoms present

themselves. So you can have one without the other. I suppose if you only had

the arthritis, though, it wouldn't be psoriatic arthritis, more likely

rheumatoid arthritis.

Sorry about your hand...but I'm glad your DH is finally taking this

seriously. It means a lot to have someone who really understands and can

help you deal with everything.
