We use Udo's Choice for adults. It has something like 15 billion units per

capsule. They also have one for kids, but we both used the adult one. If you

have a health food store nearby, you should be able to get it there or have them

order it for you. The other thought is to see if the Nature's Way place will

mail it to you. Our doctor sells IFlora, but I don't remember which one they

recommend. Sorry, I'm not much help. I never had any luck with online ordering

for probiotics because their descriptions weren't thorough enough, ie. didn't

say how many units they contain.

Good luck!

Annie

Could anyone suggest an online website where I can order probiotics for my 8 yr

old son? I have searched for Nature's Way on the web and the nearest store is an

hour away.( you also can't order from the website) None of the pharmacies around

here carry this.

I  looked up IFlora( which can be ordered online but I don't know which item to

purchase.)They had quite a few different ones.

Thanks so much

Hi Judy,

My daughter was 12 when we started. She's 15 now. We only took 2 a day but

our doc sugggested 3 or even 4 a day if we were having difficulty. We had to

seperate it from AB by 1/2 hour. If I remember correctlly his suggestion was to

take 30+ billion units a day. We never had any trouble unless we forgot it for a

few days. I would ask your doc what he suggests.

Ours said it could be very difficult to get rid of the intestinal trouble

once it started. There's an illness you can get. Someone else may remember what

it's called, but apparently it can be serious. Because of that, he told us if we

had the trouble for 3 or more days that we should call right away and stop our

AB until we got ahold of him. I don't know how long your son has been having

dificulty, but a call to your doc might be a good idea. You really want to make

sure he's not getting dehydrated as well.

All my best to you and yours,

Annie

HI Annie,

Yes, it is called C-Difficile. My son had it once before. It was horrible, and I

don't want him getting that on top of everything else.

Oh boy 30 billion units?!!! The stuff I have is only 1  billion unit.

thanks

so much!

You're very welcome. I've heard it's horrible. Our doc told us it was really

tough to get trid of. Hasn't your doc given you any perameters for the

probiotics, especially since he's had that illness before? I don't know how

young your child is or how many ab he's taking, so I don't know if 30 Bil is

right for him. We were both taling about 3 ab at the time.

I am bringing him to his pediatrician this afternoon so I can ask for

suggestions, as well as a flu shot, etc, but the problem is, my son was only

diagnosed with a positive ELISA, and had a negative Western Blot.

I took him to Dr. where he gave him the diangosis of lyme, so my son's

doctor doesn't feel he even has it.. This is my 3rd time going there this week(

and my last)

My son almost ended up being hospitalized when he had C- difficle.

He is 8 yrs old and is on Zithromax and Rifampin for antibiotics.

Can you call Dr. ? I know the garbage with the reg. docs. I have stories as

do so many. It's so hard when the person you're going to for help totally

invalidates you.

He's on strong ab, which is good, but I really doubt 1 bil. units is enough for

what he's taking. Remember to not take the pro-b with in 1/2 hour of ab. My

daughter was older when we started taking these meds so I don't know how much is

right for him. I'm sure Dr. ' office could tell you. All my best to you and

your little guy. Eight is so young to be dealing with this. But thank God you

got him diagnosed! It's so hard on little one's because their immune system

isn't fully functional. He's blessed to have you.

I am giving this doctor one final chance today. If they don't fullfill

everything I wish them to do,(which is nothing above the standard care my son

should recieve), I will be telling them I would like my son's records, and i

will find a new doctor. I am going to come right out and ask if they are open to

talking with Dr. , and if the reply is " no " than I'll have my answer. It is

a conveniant doc, seeing it is only a 5 minute drive, but I am definitley

willing to sacrifice a drive for my son's care.

I think I will call Dr. tomorrow anyway if my son is still not tolerating

the meds well.

thanks so much

a conveniant doc, seeing it is only a 5 minute drive, but I am definitley

willing to sacrifice a drive for my son's care.

I think I will call Dr. tomorrow anyway if my son is still not tolerating

the meds well.

thanks so much

Can you call Dr. ? I know the garbage with the reg. docs. I have stories as

do so many. It's so hard when the person you're going to for help totally

invalidates you.

He's on strong ab, which is good, but I really doubt 1 bil. units is enough for

what he's taking. Remember to not take the pro-b with in 1/2 hour of ab. My

daughter was older when we started taking these meds so I don't know how much is

right for him. I'm sure Dr. ' office could tell you. All my best to you and

your little guy. Eight is so young to be dealing with this. But thank God you

got him diagnosed! It's so hard on little one's because their immune system

isn't fully functional. He's blessed to have you.

HI Annie,

Yes, it is called C-Difficile. My son had it once before. It was horrible, and I

don't want him getting that on top of everything else.

Oh boy 30 billion units?!!! The stuff I have is only 1  billion unit.

thanks

so much!

Annie

Good for you! I hope it went well. I haven't had a GP for myself since I was

diagnosed. My LLMD has been willing to serve as that role for me, but I really

need to find one nearby. I'm just so mistrusting at this point due to all the

garbage we've endured over the years.

All my best to you!

Annie

I am giving this doctor one final chance today. If they don't fullfill

everything I wish them to do,(which is nothing above the standard care my son

should recieve), I will be telling them I would like my son's records, and i
