Hi,

I have tried a treatment that I would recommend you consider, despite the fact

that it was not useful for me. I sought out an endocrinologist who had done a

clinical study of the use of Vitamin D therapy with PsA. It was a small study

of patients, to be sure, but the easy majority showed significant improvement. I

had no luck, and had I been a member of the study would have been one of the few

who sa no benefit.

I would Google Dr. Holick, and maybe specifically " Dr. Holick

and psoriatic arthritis " . Holick is probably the world's leading authority on

Vitamin D, and has recently had his book published entitled " The Vitamin D

Solution " . He addresses autoimmune diseases in it, and RA is mentioned. It's a

wonderful book, and for anyone, as he exposes how profound the deficiencies are

in Vitamin D among Americans, and really worldwide, with the health

consequences.

He explained to me while under treatment with him that Vitamin D in significant

doses has an immune-suppressing nature, (much like the current drugs do for

PsA).

He's still my doctor, as he discovered that I had severe osteoporosis, something

no other doctor ever even suggested I be tested for. I continue on D as a major

part of the treatment.

It's worth reading him, or about him by a web search. We humans can tolerate

very large amounts of Vitamin D, as his book explains so thoroughly. I would

find his book, myself. It might encourage you.

If you get interested, and want more info, I would be glad to try to help.

Best of luck.
