Guest guest
I forgot to ask one more question are the side effects bad for only 5 mg of MTX? Does any one only take that much the Dr wants to move me up to 7.5 if I can handle the 5 first. Thanks have a great weekend LINDA [Editor's Note: No one can answer ahead of time how your body will react to ANY amount of methotrexate (abbreviated MTX). The problem with 5mg or even 7 mg for that matter is that the dose may be too small to do any good. Kathy F.]
Guest guest
, from what I can tell most people tolerate the MTX better over time. It worked that way for me. I started on 10mg and the first dose made me sick as a dog. My rheumy told me to take Zantac the day before and after the MTX dose and that made it lots better. I had a little relapse of sickness when I went up to 15 mg, but not as bad as when I started the 10 mg dose. Each month, I notice less and less nausea and headache. Your mileage may vary, of course. regards, sherry z > > I forgot to ask one more question are the side effects bad for only 5 > mg of MTX? Guest guest
I had nausea after my first dose. The next three were fine. Went today and she wants me on 12.5mg and we are slowly adding sulfasalazine. Kate At 09:02 PM 12/2/2006, you wrote: >, from what I can tell most people tolerate the MTX better over >time.
